and for my next trick ....

if you see something "clever" to do with coding on a post and want to work out how they did it - use the quote button on the post you are interested in, instead of using the reply button at the bottom of the page, then the whole post, with a break down of the code is put into a reply screen for you so you can figure out the code they used to do the clever trick in the first place

Some MSE'ers were today astounded at the speed they learned how to make neat links.

They then shocked the nation when they proceeded to make coloured text & even coloured links!!

Yeah, I have to say I'm pretty chuffed too! I was sitting here for a few weeks wondering how to make those nice neat links & saw all the other 'bells & whistles' people were using. I didn't think I'd have an answer so fast or such a helpful teacher Also didn't realise that other people were sitting there wondering too ;D
