Hiya, I just checked and my CTC which is due for payment tomorrow (30th december) has gone in today. As 30th isnt a bank holiday and is a normal working day, Im wondering if this payment Ive got today is an extra payment or not? and if I will get a payment tomorrow too, its for the normal amount though so Im not sure, did anyone else have their payment today which is due tomorrow?
I did get the letter in December about the possible extra payment but nothing in until today, am praying its an extra and I'll get one tomorrow, but not sure my luck will run to that!!Ive checked on the website and 30th isnt one of the dates where the payment would be made earlier, fingers crossed!

I had my usual payment last Thurs, so am not due any more until 30th tomorrow, but I got another payment for the same amount a few days ago and next to the payment on online banking, it says it's for the 29th, I never usually get paid on a Wednesday?!
I'm guessing it's just a mix up as the HMRC site says I should be getting my payment as normal on 30th, so I shouldn't have had any early payments. I don't think it's an extra payment as it's not a different amount to what I normally get and I didn't get a letter. I haven't touched it yet as I'm pretty sure it's tomorrows money...will have to wait and see!0 -
Sounds a bit like what Im thinking, mine is scheduled for 30th as well and have never been paid on a wednesday before either, although, like you, mine is the usual amount. As others have said they have been paid early for tomorrow too Im assuming its that, though you never know so I will keep my fingers crossed for you too!0

I recieved the letter just before xmas, as yet not recieved any extra payments or been paid early. My payments are due on a friday and have been going in as normal. Fingers crossed for an extra payment though I know they will reduce our payments after that but could really come in handy after xmas and it's my daughter's birthday on friday!!0

In 2012 I pledge to:- Save £1 a day, meal plan, be more organised, have NSDs, set myself a budget AND STICK TO IT, throw all loose change into Sealed Pot and not open it till 29th November.:money:0 -
I also got the letter before Christmas and had my usual monthly amount on 24th. Tried phoning but they said they had no info on who gets it and when. Has anyone managed to get any info from HMRC0

The letter about this possible extra payment states it will happen in January, its still December, the payments your getting are the early payments due to bank holidays, as someone pointed out, tax credits will make payments early to the whole of the UK even if the bank holiday is just in Scotland or Northern Ireland etc, so the payments your getting because of all the bank holidays and not anything to do with this possible 1 off payment in January.0
