Don't forget the drugs offences as well.

This made me mad last night when I heard it on the news, they should just send him back to where he came from regardless of if he'll face a death sentence or not. At the end of the day that little girl faced the death sentence when he broke the law, mowed her down and drove off and to spend a few months in prison for it is a complete joke.

Seem the list in endless to his crimes. As to his claims of being executed if he goes back, what are his crimes back there. Hardly doubt they for political reason's. Maybe a former member of saddams regime or just a complete scumbag

I made me furious too, they're saying it'd be a breach of his human rights to separate him from his family. What about the family of the victim an their human rights! He's a stain on society and should be deported.

Anyone else thinking of voting BNP at the next election? Don't get me wrong I think a lot of BNP supporters are mindless thugs, but if voting BNP sends a message to the main political parties I think it is a worthwhile thing to do.

Neither have I but its unfair to blame the tories for this. As a democracy lover (real democracy) I am certain that a death sentence in this case would be more appropriate and more popular.

I like the US policy of immigration, one strike and your out, no matter how trivial nor what fate awaits you in your homeland. No second chances.

I think it should be a case of; once you breach another's human rights, it puts your own in jeopardy, regardless.

With all the publicity this is receiving and his face/name plastered all over the media I think he will be seeking asylum FROM the UK soon.

He only got 4 months for killing that little girl, that's the worse part of it IMO

How can you kill someone and drive off and only get 4 months, he only spend 2 months inside i guess

    The country's a joke

    :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:

Without wanting to be a pedant, neither of the bolded points are true.

The four months he served were for "driving while disqualified and failing to stop after an accident" and he didn't drive off, he ran off, with the car still on the victim.

I totally agree with Takecareofthepennies. This has been mis-reported by pretty much every news agency I've seen it on. His asylum status should have nothing to do with his hit-and-run in any way. If it was a middle-aged, white, working class woman without a criminal record that had done the same thing to an average Joe the press should have been equally outraged. They wouldn't be and they haven't been in the past. This story seems to suit press sentiments, especially The Daily Hatemail.

He has served the time that for the crime he commited as was passed down by our judicial system and he has been allowed to stay in this country because it is one of his human rights to have a stable family life.

That's the counrty we live in. Want a more strict regime? Move to Iraq.

Completely inaccurate, ANYBODY who kills another with a vehicle and does a runner would and DO cause equal outrage. Whether Black,White, Male or Female.

Unless you can provide facts and figures to back your claim up with, you indeed ARE being pedant.

His asylum status should indeed be revoked if he chooses to breach the very laws this Country lays down to him, regardless of his personal issues in his homeland.

Christ, you'd think this was the first time anyone had posted about this story.
Oh come on, don't be silly.
