You cannot 'accidently' expose yourself if you are a man can you? Unless you are in shorts a la Alan Partridge! And 'If I was I did not mean to be', like it just fell out is not going to fool anyone - especially if he keeps on denying it and it has to go before a jury. I hope that the courts and HR will have someone with some common sense on board anyway!!

I've been flashed 3 times (lucky old me, eh!) and only once was it the stereotypical whisk away clothing to reveal what was underneath. The other two occasions were with "gentlemen" on the tube with clothing in slight disarray revealing all, which I'm quite sure was deliberate, but also that if challenged they would have claimed to have been unaware of the situation. As someone posted above, when going commando, there will be a draft if all is on show!

It's official. The world has gone mad.

He has said that by 'Did you realise you were exposing yourself?', he thought I was asking 'Did you realise your flies were undone?' He has said that he didn't realise the seriousness of the allegation until we had the face to face meeting. If that was the case, why did he then apologise again, look close to tears and say 'but it was unintentional'??

They have found no case to answer on the indecent exposure, but a case to answer on the emails, but it sounds like I'm going to get into trouble for those because I replied. I have to work with the man, if I said 'F*ck off you loser', I'd probably get sacked.

They haven't interviewed a potentially key witness, despite me informing them of it. Another witness has (the younger girl) has said that he touched her bum at the Christmas party, she felt it was deliberate and moved away. Another girl has said that he touched her legs at the Christmas party, but she wasn't offended by it and she felt like she knew him better at the end of the night. !!!!!!???

The world is crazy. I can no longer be alone with a man without a camera.

Though no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending
  • Expect much of the same with the police then.

Oh dear :( so is he back at work now then?

It was always going to be hard to prove, but hopefully he will have realised what he has done.

Doesn't make it any easier for you though..

Dreadful! I'm not a man, but I would have thought that as you said he was 'pleased to see you' that he would have been aware that he was exposing himself...

Can you not appeal, or speak to someone in HR? You could mention that as they have seen fit to believe him and not you, and you leave then it could be construed as constructive dismissal...

What sort of trouble do you think you might be in?

Bloody ridiculous. I'd definately be taking this further as they have not done a thorough investigation - and I'd be making sure everyone knows about this grubby little mans behaviour. Hopefully someone else might tell that something happened to them too.

Does he have any sort of mark on his d!ck that might identify him in regards to the police - even if work are not going to do anything.

Hopefully the police will do something more than your HR department, he can lie all he likes to the people at work, lying in court will be totally different. There is still time for this grubby little man to get caught out - and when he does you can be sure to file a complaint with work.

And this is exactly why this kind of behaviour goes on and on and on - because when it is reported they simply say nothing happened, it was a mistake and they are the one who gets believed and so it continues. Shocking.

As above - how on earth can you get in trouble for it when he doesn't? That would certainly be a case of contructive dismissal IMO. Who wants to be working somewhere that they cannot investigate a sexual harrassment case correctly.

Okay, this outcome sucks, however it was always going to be your word against his. Rest assured HR have his number now - if he insists he simply had his flies open then really there is little they can do without any further evidence or witnesses. The slimeball has managed not to cave with them.

I cannot see how you can get into trouble for the emails, but do keep us posted as to what they say.

At the very least hun, yes it's going to be uncomfortable to work with him - but he can't put one foot wrong after this, there is that.

Very interesting. So not an admission on his part (or not in so many words).

Like I told you before - lots of companies need a witness so If I were you I'd originally yes, have cried wolf. Cause a scene, call it what you will.

It now seems as if maybe he was accidentally exposing himself.

I guess some of us here sort of knew the truth would out in the end.
    Eh?
