I was just wondering if anyone could help me. I have just bought a morphy richards fast bake and took out out the box and went to get the bread pan out but it won't budge. Is there a specific way of getting it out? I have pulled and pulled at it with no luck. I noticed inside the acually machine of the side it says remove lock but am not sure what that means as can't see a lock. There is no mention of anything in the instructions.
Anyone able to help?0 -
Turn the bread pan anti-clockwise, until it won't move any more. It doesn't move far.
Then just lift.

Hi sian,
You need to hold it by the handle and twist it to the left and it should click and come out quite easily. When you're using it you need to put it in and twist to the right to lock the pan in place.
I'll add your query to the Morphy Richards thread later.

Over the last week or so I thought my BM was a bit noisier than usual, my DD said it was my imagination! I made a fruit loaf this morning that turned out lovely but when I tried to make some banana bread later all I got was a horrible grinding noise! The machine's mechanism is working fine. I've got the same problem as Craftyscholar, the blade is greased and able to move but the spindle is jammed and not moving atall. The man I spoke to from CS couldn't have been more helpful and is sending me out a replacement pan but will take 3-5 working days to get here. I've only had my BM for 8 months and was wondering if this happens frequently.

Does anyone know if I can just double the ingredients for the pizza base to get enough dough for 2 pizzas?
or does it need longer to mix & rise etc?0 -

Found in the past that the given recipe/quantitiy is enough for 2 pizzas. Just cut the ready dough in half and roll out as thinly as you can.
With doubling the recipe, I would be worried that it overflows/does not fit in the pan when it rises.
You can freeze ready dough or keep in fridge for a day or so, if you know in advance that you may need extra on some occasions.0 -

No, it sits right at the bottom of the pan... there would easily be room for double, maybe even triple
I agree about cutting the dough in half though, maybe i will give that a try first0 -
Hi all,
I had had my fastbake for a couple of years now and love it but have always puzzled about discrepancies between the handbook and the machine....I have just ignored it til now but it is really starting to bug me so here goes....
My machine has 2 loaf size settings 1 1/2 lb and 2lb. But my handbook only does recipes for 1lb and 1 1/2lb loaves. I have always just baked the loaves I do on the 1 1/2lb setting and they seem to come out fine. However I would like to do a 2lb loaf and as there are no recipes in my handbook for this size of loaf I am wondering if I have the wrong handbook for my machine(it came with the machine though).
Add to this the fact that on the list of programme settings in the book, the programme numbers are different than the numbers on my machine.
Does anyone else with a fastbake have the same problem?
Do you think I have the wrong book?
Does anyone with a fastbake do 2lb loaves and if so what recipe do you use?
Thanks and thanks again!:DTess x

I used the recipes which came with my manual. You can download the manual from the Morphy Richards website

that one has 2lb recipes
Mine has 1lb and 1 1/2 lb options, mine is the stainless steel version (no 2lb option)One day I might be more organised...........
