  • yipee I found the measuring cups for my breadmaker but the small spoon has deffo been lost forever by the look of it :(
I just went to the website and they are charging over £2 for the spoon but with £3.50 delivery!!! So went to Ebay where they also trade and the actual spoon is over £6 there but no delivery charge....I'm not impressed at the thought of paying this much for a tiny plastic measuring spoon!
On the instructions it says to use the measuring spoon as it is done on volume but does anyone else just use their own measuring spoons for the dried milk, sugar, salt & yeast etc....
My husband just said to me "well your gonna have to make loads of bread to cover the price of the spoon!" hahahahaha!
Why does my dog chase cars? Even if he caught one he hasn't passed his test!

  • Experimenting with mine today, an almost-no-frills version.
1/3 each spelt, wholemeal and white flours
    1 1/4 teasp salt
Just under 1 1/8 cups water
1 squirt lemon juice (won't pay for vit c)
    About 1 teasp oil.
    1 teasp yeast.

It's doing on setting 2 (basic large white) and will be done in about half an hour. Will report back:)

    Couldn't type after posted image!

The bread tin is upright, so you don't get a 'normal' shaped loaf, if I did get the bread to rise above the tin then it ends up squashed when you turn out the bread.

The paddle is one that should lie down but it was mostly baked in ( a thin layer of crust covering paddle) so meaning the bottom inch was rock hard where it had baked around the paddle and you had to prise the thing out so you didn't cut it when slicing the loaf.

On the times the paddle stayed up you got more useable bread, but only for dunking in soup, as it had a hole through 2 inches you couldn't use it for sandwiches.

Also due to the shape of the tin I found the whole loaf has a hard crust, but not as in crusty.

I used the programs 1 basic, 2 french, 11 sandwich, 12 fast bake. the most success was with 11.

I tried branded flour and single packet mixes, me & fella measured ingredients adamant this was the problem, in the end I just found it cheaper and more realiable to buy bread!

Will look up some receipes and maybe try again one weekend.

This has worked beautifully. It's a large loaf (not far off the top of the tin), very light and airy. We actually like the dense chewy kind you get with more w/meal flour, but this is nice for a change. And no sugar or milk powder:)

    That's like my ebay one.

I have the white one, the coolwall model and I bought the one like yours locally for £10 on ebay.

I have put that one in the loft though as I prefer the white one, it seems to mix the dough better than the Fast Bake II one.

Then again it could be a duff one and that is why she put it on ebay!

    :D

If it weren't for the fact the friend who bought me this BM lives a few doors down I'd ebay mine!
