Hi Nettles, I don't know if it is better as it is my first one, but I think from reading the other threads the Panasonic is the top one, but is much more expensive;)

    Banana bread
    3 medium eggs
    4Tbsp Milk
    350gr mashed banana
    75gr melted butter
    200gr Strong white flour
    220gr caster sugar
    1tsp soda
    3.5 tsp baking powder
    pinch of salt
    1tsp ground cinnamon
    2tsp ground nutmeg
    (optional) 125gr nuts

Place in breadmaker in the above order.
    choose quick regime.

Got one of these at a car boot sale for £10. Never used a bread maker before in my life so here goes. Didn't get the cup with it but did get the manual.

Used a recipe given to me by a lovely lady on the flylady thread...

    250g white flour
    250g wholemeal flour
    350ml water
    1 tsp salt
    1 Tbsp sugar (used brown)
1 tsp yeast (hovis fast action sachets)
1 Tbsp veg oil (ok, used light olive oil as no veg oil)
and added in 1 Tbsp milk powder for some odd reason (made sence at the time)

Setting 3 and fingers crossed :rotfl:

hey we used almost identical recipe last night (1st one ever), turned out extremely tasty, now on my Fav list! My recipe called for butter, but i had none so used veg oil.

Isnt there a breadmaker recipe thread around? I think we need one :)

Rain forest, no idea, still looking :D

I put too much yeast in and it cratered, but it's still tasty (especially with chocolate spread).
  • Hi. I'm just about to make white bread rolls in my MR, the recipe says that it needs 2 tbsp of melted butter and then in the method section it says to brush the rolls with melted butter, so is the 2 tbsp of melted butter just for brushing them with or do I put it in the mixer and use extra melted butter to brush them with, IYSWIM

    thanks, Shelley

Has anyone actually made brioche in the BM yet?... I want to try it this weekend, and I'm guessing its the same setting as for chocolate bread, but that only uses 1 egg and most brioche recipes use 3
