Can anyone help me please.My breadmaker's not working.I put all the ingredients in earlier to make pizza dough put it on the setting and it started making loud clicking sounds.
I think it's not turning the paddle. I have took the pan out and started it again and the little thing at bottom of machine is turning and looks to be working properly so I'm thinkin it's my pan mechanism.

what I need to know is should my paddle be able to move in a full circle ir I tried moving it with my hand.Because it doesn't.It doesn't seem to want to move at all.I've cleaned the paddle and pan thoroughly.
The pin in the centre of my pan that the paddle sits on is ridgid.Is this how it should be or should it turn?

I've never had any problems before and to be honest have just set it away and left it so I'm not sure how it works or what happens inside pan as I've never looked.

Could someone please check theirs and get back to me? i don't know how I will manage with out it

Have you tried to push the pan right down?? I've had a BM for over 10 years and had no problems then last week the same symptoms as you have happened to me. I realised that the paddle wasn't turning so pushed the pan home and it started to work.

Thanks.i treied that too.unfortunately still not working.It's still under guarantee so ok there.It's just I want it working now lol

The paddle should move round freely whilst still in the pan even if not in BM.

I would try it with just some water in then if still not turning I'd say it is spindle mechanism.

Have your tried Morphy website for troobleshooting?

thanks my paddle isn't moving much.Their helpline isn't open saturdays so looks like I'm waiting til Monday.Thank you

Sounds like the mechanism in the bottom of the breadpan is jammed.. it is possible it is rusted up?? Twisted??

Has it been forced or dropped at all??

If you contact MR on Monday they will send out a new breadpan.. if the bit in the bottom of the machine is working then the breadpan not turning the paddle it is the pan that is the problem.. mine is the same.. my new pan is in the post!!

It comes with a 2 year guarantee so it may be covered.. but you will need your 'proof of purchase'.

Hi Molly just nipped in from the garden and saw this...My MR did this and unfortunately I tried greasing the spindle and everything but it turned out I needed a new pan.
The MR helpline are brill and you can speak to an adviser about the problems then they'll walk you through what else to try first.If it does come doen to a new pan though you can order it over the phone but if yours is under guarantee I should imagine they'll replace it free of charge

thanks that helps alot. it does sound like it's just the pan.It was a pressent from kids at xmas via their dad so I hope he has the receipt.I'm sure I registered it online when I got it so will they have that on record if I find the datails?

Thank you Dee.you're the second person to suggest the pan.I know it sounds silly but i was so upset.I use it daily for bread rolls, pizza ect and will be totally lost without it even if it's just a day or 2.
