Woud echo the above suggestions. Few times mine hasn't worked its been the yeast, once the paddle on the kneading blade wasn't upright doh!
If you want to check the manual some of them are on the website www.morphyrichards.co.uk in downloads section, on mine the model number is on the back if the machine
    Good luck
  • have included all the ingrediants so either my water is too cold or the yeast is rubbish lol, whats the betting its my water being too cold

When you measure the water out stick your finger in and if you can't feel the temperature (if you know what I mean!) it is the right temperature. It shouldn't feel cold or hot.

    Hello

I have a Morphy Richards BM too. However I have lost the measuring cup and I wondered if anyone knew what size it was? I have American measuring cups and didn't know if the size was comparable? Few of the recipes I have tried have worked since I lost the cup and I feel I am not getting the best out of my BM. Thank you in advance for your help :D

I have borrowed a MR breadmaker from my sister which was missing the measuring cup & spoon but got one from the Morphy website for less than £3 including postage. Have found that the bread comes out well now. Hope this helps.

    Hi all,

Sorry if I have posted this in the wrong section!

I purchased the Morphy Richards Fastbake Breadmaker around 3 weeks ago and my dilemma is that the bread keeps sinking on me. I have been copying the instructions exactly. This is only happening with the Hovis wholemeal bread flour and i've tried increasing/decreasing the fast action yeast etc and still end up with the same result. Has anyone else experienced this and solved it? If so, can you share with me? Currently the Hovis brown seeded flour is working perfectly for me.

Also is there any cheaper flour I can use in the breakmaker? As i'm not finding it's working out that much cheaper at the minute.

Are you using only wholemeal flour? I know a lot of people have better results when they use 50/50 wholemeal and white flour, also i think crushing a vitamin c tablet into the mix can be good for wholemeal flours as it acts as a flour improver.

    Hope that helps!
