Hi all

Just to keep you updated. I have had no reply from Jet2 at present, but have made complaints to Trading Standards, and the Gambling Commission. These have both been acknowledged and are being investigated.

Hi All, I have spoken with Trading Standards and they have asked me to ask all those affected to contact Consumer Direct and ask that you mention that they feel it is a banned practice under the Consumer Protection Regs . Each Trading Standards Authority is dealt with by geographical location. This should hopefully result in both complaints being referred to West Yorkshire Trading standards for investigation .

Hi, I have been browsing the web to see if anyone else has been aware of this and chanced on this forum, as I emailed them the day I received my notification but as you will no doubt have guessed, no reply has been forthcoming. I even sent an attachment showing the original t&c's with 500x2 return flights.

I have won a flight to nice but it is just one ticket then it will be a lonely break lol. can you transfer the name of the ticket ?

Everyone who won flights should have 2 x return flights so if you are a winner contact Consumer Direct as per Neccho's post- the more complaints the more likely something will be done. (Hopefully!!)

Hi all, just to keep you updated:

The Gambling Commission have comfirmed this is outside their remit.
The lovely lady at my local Trading Standards authority has really got to grips with this but unfortunately the officer is on holiday until tomorrow.

I have telephoned our friends at Jet2 daily since 1/1/11 and surprise surprise had no response.

My journalist friend now has all the information and is putting pressure on Jet2.

In the meantime i urge you all to make a complaint via Trading Standards.

I had hoped to be lying on a beach by now, but it looks like this one is going to take longer to resolve.

Hi,
Have finally received a reply from my email. They stress that the prize is a return flight for one person only with a link to the terms and conditions which, surprise, surprise shows the rather strange phrase of "500 x 1 return flight"
I too have saved the original t & c's so will follow your progress with great interest.

I too have received the same e-mail as Bargain Bob, but when you follow the link to the terms and conditions it states 500 x 2 return flights. I will clear my cache to see if it changes but I have replied to the e-mail including a screen shot of the t's & c's.
