Nr 2 is here, back from our much needed holiday. Reality kicked in, Tesco still hasn't given us the right figure so our debt is higher than I anticipated.
Overpayment made, £1350 goes towards the loan.

    2. kavics17 - £24,619.27/£24,000

I know it's more than my goal but we still have appr. £700 to go, just hoping it will be paid off by mid October.

I know I said there wouldn't be an overpayment from me until 29th BUT....I have just made a little payment of £14.21 just to round my minimum payment up.

    Running total now £2682.57/£6000

My biggest CC bill was in the high 8000's when I started this DF journey and now it is in the high 6000's.....I was so happy to see that on my statement....amazing that you can actually be happy about debt!!!!

Hi everyone, I'm sorry I haven't updated, but things are a bit hectic at the mo. Hoping to catch up properly soon.

Paid another £66 to my cc.

Well done on all the overpayments everyone!

  • Hi All
I had a loan that I had planned to pay off next year through this challenge. However, I got some money given to me as part of the will of a relative who died recently. I have debated for ages about what to do with this money but finally decided that I should pay off this loan. As a result I have paid off £8000 in full and am totally free of short/medium term debt:j:j:j - all I have left to tackle is the mortgage:D.

Well done to everyone on th OPs this month and thanks again to jwil for setting up this challenge. It is going to be really nice (not to mention unusual) that I am not allocating a good portion of my wages to debt repayment.
