Is the total lower because fewer people are making payments or are they smaller amounts? I agree with what people have said about this time of year typically going to be tight for people but we're bound to loose folks along the way too.

If you think about it though.... £400k.... thats a HUGE sum already  It's great to think it's out of the banks hands :p

Roll on next week and pay day :T

I do think a relatively small bunch of people on ONE thread decreasing debt by nearly half a million pound in 6 months is quite a feat!!

5 days until payday for me, then I'll be more than halving my remaining debt. So excited. :D

brilliant £400,000 thats an amazing amount of money and even if we end up only paying of 1/2 a million of debt instead of a million thats still incredible.

im very proud to be part of this and i bet it will run again next year too. well done everyone xx

So far this month we have paid £25,643.46 which is less than half of last month's total, and £16k less than our previous total.

We have however, broken the £400k paid back mark which is fantastic, but well short of our million pound target.

Keep going everyone! It would be great to make the million, but every penny we pay off still counts!

Every little helps. This month is the worst for me, my overpayment is rubbish. I should overpay by another £1000 at the end of this month but more likely it will be £300. Not good but hopefully August will be better.

Seems I made an error. Target is: £5095.70

Talking of which, we're trying to plan a trip to Legoland. THE PRICE! my god. Even with offers you still need a small fortune. And then I can just imagine what the bloody gift shop is like. ARGH!

    It is so expensive!

We are doing fantastically well. :j

So far this month, only 43 people have updated, so it does make the total much more impressive. We have lost people along the way but we so far have also paid a little less each on average (just under £600 per updater rather than £850 ish per updater), though this will probably go up once people start getting paid.

Whatever we pay off is fantastic, and if we make the £500k - £750k by the end of the year it will still be a massive achievement, it's just quite fun to aim for the million!

Well even if I make my target, I'm still not going to be DF for a while, so at the moment I anticipate that I can run it next year, but I'm not going to promise because I'm still waiting for my lottery win. :D
