No 83 checking in. It's payday again and I've got £276.53 left so that's gone on the CC. My new total is £1909.22/£2400. So I'm looking well on track and hopefully I can make some decent inroads into other debts before the end of the year.

Morning all, I'm surviving my first month back at work following major surgery and actually have money in the bank again! Today I've paid £185.29 to various debts, making my total £818.29/ £5000. So nice to be back on board again. Hope everyone has a great day. Also, after finally getting round to listing general junk on ebay, I've made over £250 in the last ten days that will go towards debts as soon as it transfers from paypal. That's from my old broken laptop, and general stuff that wasn't being used anymore. It does pay off in the end although it's a job I loathe doing.

Nothing to add in payments, but have now closed one of my credit card accounts. The rewards scheme was useless to me and although it was a "Platinum" card, that really does nothing as I'm not about status. I want to keep a card (probably Tesco one) as it makes sense if you keep on top of what you're paying. They can really work for you, but I do not want useless ones around me that I won't use.

Well done on closing a card Laze!

Well today is payday and yearly bonus time which after tax doesnt look so good but does alllow me to pay £1700 overpayment along with my normal payment. Finally feels like I am coming to the end of my debt nightmare of 55K (plus a stupid choice with a car purchase last year) three and a half years ago to just under 3k today. One more push and can finally look at saving rather than paying debts.

    Thanks for the updates everyone.

I've paid £2 this morning (£1 for this challenge). I've now made 8/10 payments this month.

I'm on leave next week, so I can't guarantee when I will get the totals updated, but I will do it as soon as possible. (MUST remember to send myself the spreadsheet).

Are you going anywhere nice jwil? I'm off for two weeks from next week, pottering first week then Devon to see rels the next week.
  • I have never been so glad to see payday!! I wound up with £22 left in my account last month which was very good going as I had £42 left with 2 weeks to go!

Anyway pay has gone in, all big DDs (mortgage, CT, loan) have gone out. Worked out my budget for the month and overpaid the loan by £850 (in addition to my normal £295 payment).

So, counting in the interest, this brings my debt total to [STRIKE]£15800[/STRIKE] £620 left to pay!! And my total for this challenge to...

    :j:D:j £7663/£8283 :j:D:j

And if you think I've overexcited this month just wait until next pay day! :rotfl:
