Hi all £561.68 paid off for me today giving me a grand total of £8800.12 of my £8,500 target - yippee - 103%
Think I will revise my target to £11k now please in line with my other challenge if that's ok?
Well done everyone - keep up the good work.0 -
£80 just paid off a couple of cards so that's £2200.83/£6842.49 having to do a couple of balance trasnfers too as Post Office card 0% runs out in a week but that will just leave the debt spread over 2 cards. Will make some bigger payments but probaly not for a few days as need to work out how much I can afford to pay off.Debt free and busy treating myself:)
No more toiletries/make up until I've used what I've got stashed since Jan 2011, graduated October 2012. Restocked Dec 13..damn those sales0 -

we are now on the strictest budget ever, essential food only, utilities, no alcohol, nights/days out, just purely debt paying.... will it be worth it? better bloody had be

hi everyone. half way through the month for me so ages until i can make another payment.
but i was just thinking ive noticed that a few people are revising their target once they reach it.
i was a bit confused but then i realised people have only put what they hope to pay off this year and not their total debt.
so we are a mixture of people who will be debt free when we complete this challenge and people who will then continue to pay debt???
im only slightly confused so thats fine - lol xx0 -
Have just managed to make another payment before the day finishes and a new month starts. I have made an extra payment of £200.63 to my egg card. My debt is now under £15k :j

Good luck to everyone for next month and well done for this month.

Hi Jwil, Number 171 here.
Can I request to change my total amount? The reason is I joined this thread after I had started my debt free journey so the amount in my signature and the amount on this thread don't easily corrolate and I get a bit confused... so instead of being £2418.90/£7424, as it is now please can you change it to £2852/£7852 please? Sorry to be a pain - thanks.

Dont know about anyone else but this is not getting any easier! - payments down this month as holidays and house insurance take their toll - cannot quite see how I am going to make the target - but I will keep trying! - Well done everyone else.

i think we are a mix yes. When I picked my amount I chose a total that would be quite a stretch for me but not beyond the realms of possibility. To be honest I think that's what the spirit of the thread is about - otherwise, if you pik a total that's too low you don't push youself.
I think some people have too much debt to have a hope of paying it all off this year, so it makes sense not to declare it all.0 -
Hi number 37, mo 175 here--- it doesnt get any easier you are right... but if we werent tackling our debts it would most definately be getting harder. Sometimes the whole effort can be quite overwhelming, the trick is to focus on how much you have paid off, be proud of yourself, be proud of how far you have come and know that you will reach your target..because you are in control, go you" a life we could only dream of "Dreaming is a pointless exercise if it only serves to reinforce your own limitations.
