There is no one around me that is dealing with their debts like we are on here and it is nice to have people talking about how they are getting on instead of pretending that everything is ok.
Jwil - Thanks for running this thread. I thing this is the only challenge where I have been able to last at least 6 months. I have normally given up by now. Thanks again :grouphug:
Aww thanks
Thanks from me too to everyone who has taken part, it really does keep the motivation up!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Payday today hurrah! And I am skint now, boo!
Made my payments today though so that's 1/10 days paying towards my debts.
Have now paid £6374 towards the challenge!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Nice one Jwil! I paid another £6750.25 to Mum's debt today, so total for no.89 stands at £6750.25/£7000. When my loan comes out on Monday, That'll be over £7k paid off this year. That's crazy! I'll continue to post though, it'll be interesting to see how far over £7k I can get.HSBC Credit Card £608.69, HSBC Overdraft: £4123.67, HSBC Loan: £8,270.69
Lloyds Credit Card: £1418.62, Very Account: £518.99, Barclaycard: £126

Well done phoenix! Will you be our second person to reach goal? Certainly only the second I've seen.0

We've had 5 people reach target now :T Phoenix is on track to be number 6 :j"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
Unless anyone else hits their target by Monday 4th July, I probably will be the second person. I tell you, when I hit it, I'm going to be so damn proud of myself. This thread, combined with finding out I'm expecting, has made for serious kick-up-bumness!HSBC Credit Card £608.69, HSBC Overdraft: £4123.67, HSBC Loan: £8,270.69

Well done! :j You can set another target if you want, or as you say just carry on and see how far past it you can get. It will be good to have you still posting though!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". You should be proud of yourself, that's brilliant! When are you due?"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

I'm due 6th December. So I've got until November to save up enough cash to cover my loan payments until March 2012, and to save for baby stuff. Plus, to pay as much as I can off of DH's debt (he will be doing this too, of course.)HSBC Credit Card £608.69, HSBC Overdraft: £4123.67, HSBC Loan: £8,270.69
