    Hi

For those that do crisp jobs..when you do the covert stores, do you brazenly take the pics with a camera or do you pretend you are doing your shopping and do it secretly with a camera phone?

I've been approached twice now in two different stores and wondering which the best way is to do it.

I always do them covertly now and use my camera phone. But I dont really hide it as then it takes too long. So far, nobody has bothered me. If a member of the public asks what I am doing (some people are so nosy!!), I just say 'price comparison websites' and leave it at that.

Hello all, I have been using the TNS VAS system nd got login details for Sassie last week but whenever I try it the county and region dropdown boxes are empty on the job board.

I can get jobs on VAs but not Sassie. Any ideas?

    Cheers - Joe

It's the same for me, for some reason they don't put the same jobs on both. They tend to put most jobs on VAS still and occassionally put up a few on Sassie instead, never seen any on both though.

HELP!!! have accepted a job with TNS but I can't download anything for it! it says that the page has downloaded but it is blank! ARGH!! what shall I do?

Is it for a couple of weeks or more's time? Paperwork doesn't become available to download on TNS until a couple of weeks before the assignment, if you read the information that is there it should say "Your reporting link will be available around [insert date here]" and that is when you will be able to see the full brief etc.

And has anyone else's 'Completed Assignments' bit on the GR website been changed to French?? I'm sure there's a perfectly logical reason for it......

    :rotfl:
Just had a check after reading that, and although my Completed Assignments bit is fine, my Current Assignments (or should I say
My missions planifi!es :D:D) are indeed French!! How wonderfully random!
Knowing my luck I'll accept a last minute job and the briefing notes will be in French!!
Unless the brief is to go into a shop and say, Hello, My name is *Secret Mystery Shopper Identity Name*, I am X years old and I have a dog, ... well, I think that's about as far as my school French lessons could help me!!

Hi Thanks for the replies. I have spent most of the day on this site reading the threads. I have just applied to four more companies. Thanks for the info about going on my own to places, this should not be a problem during term time. Thanks again

Hi I came accross the info about being a mystery shopper just today and have so far applied to two companies. I am a stay at home mum and was looking for something to do on a part time basis. Does anyone have any advice for me? So far I have contacted retail eyes and gap, is there anyone else I should contact?

The tax office so you can register to pay tax and National Insurance.

Before you start, set up a decent accounting system and make sure you keep it updated as you go along. It's much easier if you have the finalised accounting data for your tax return, rather than trying to compile a years worth at once. Also set up a decent filing system to store all the paperwork and notes that you need to keep.
Here I go again on my own....

Mon dieu! I am soo glad someone else could see that, I thought it had finally happened :D
  • I am startng to see these re-appear on my list. I really hope they lose this contract.
  • I reckon i'll be sacked from Grp soon which is fine by me as i'm finally learning my worth and it's not taking on urgent jobs for no increase, it's about time.
