    I've been Money Tipped!
Did you pick up a brochure? I've downloaded that in the past as proof of visit and its been passed on a number of occasions.

I did get a brochure when i realised the card was not forthcoming and I uploaded a piccy of it instead of the receipt.

Does that mean I may not get fired? :D or :(

Bit annoyed today. Went to do a shop and found it was closed down. Now they are only going to pay me half the fee. Not my fault their records aint kept upto date!
  • Thought I would get a conversation going?

Has anyone been banned from a particular store as a result of Mystery Shopping?
I am apparently banned from a burger shack that I did a visit for once, the manager said to GAP they no longer wanted me to visit the location as he didn't believe I visited the toilets. The toilets were an awful mess and he wouldn't accept the fact. Could they of not checked using the security cameras whether I entered? That was in my early days in MS, but haven't had problems since.

Yes I got banned from one too, I reported that service took a long time with the explanation that the woman in front of me spilled her purse on the floor. This took time for her to pick up the coins. I was still banned for giving a bad report. Ridiculous. This has happened to many I think and makes a mockery of the job.

  • Anyone ever been offered a flight allowance to accept a job? Is it worth it?

Doesn't that depend on whether the allowance covers the cost of the flight? Only you can decide whether its worth it.

Hi I came accross the info about being a mystery shopper just today and have so far applied to two companies. I am a stay at home mum and was looking for something to do on a part time basis. Does anyone have any advice for me? So far I have contacted retail eyes and gap, is there anyone else I should contact?

There's a huge list on the first page - I'd just recommend working thrhough them and signing up with them all, then have a look through this thread and you'll quickly get a grasp for who's good / bad / indifferent.

  • Things are on the up. Managed to nab 6 assignments today. Got a lovely walk around a shop with a moderator tomorrow for market research and getting a hefty £40 for it! Loads of free petrol coming my way too. I'm a happy bunny now! But...
    And there's always a "but"...
Service Science haven't paid me for Dec work and are ignoring my emails. Does anyone have a contact there who can sort out payment queries? I'm getting nowhere fast with this one.

Have you tried emailing Sam Slater? I've found her to be pretty good at responding to emails. I'm at work so don't have her contacts to hand, but can get them for you if needed.
