Without seeing the brief it's hard to say, read through it and think after each point whether the shop assistant is naturally going to do what the questionnaire is looking for, e.g. in a clothes shop if they want the assistant to suggest trying the item on then you couldn't say the item was for someone else, as in this scenario they wouldn't suggest trying it on as it's not you the item needs to fit.
If you're unsure contact them before you go, or it may be better if you can think of a scenario in which you would be asking about the item (e.g. I once did a shoe shop which is aimed at much older women, I told them I'd got my first job since leaving college and they'd recommended the place to get some suitable office shoes, as I had been going in ballet flats which they felt weren't professional-looking).If you are too young to do your own shopping, you are too young for Death Shops !
If you are in Glasgow, hope to meet up sometime.
It wasn't that bad, just asked what i would need if i wanted cctv for my house and the conversation worked naturally!0 -
Some clients are really dumb. I got a query back saying the store did not have any employees with the names I gave. Really? In that case why does it say on the receipt that was served by non-existant staff?
Or maybe the staff are from a different store and are filling in for a holiday or shortage. I used to do this for a well known supermarket. We had 3 stores locally. If staff was needed at the bigger hypermarket then I would trot along, using my own till code and obviously wearing the uniform and name badge. Maybe the client forgot the staff help?0 -
Hi all,
Hope every one is enjoying their weekend
Just a couple of things firstly i was wondering what peoples attitude was to taking on jobs they do not actually enjoy. Personally i go through phases where i would like the cash and then phases where i just don't want to do the job as i don't like the experience.
Secondly i took on a job for naked grizzlies to take an exam but there have been endless problems. The login data did not come
then it came but had been double issued so i was booked in in a totally different county by someone else
once i raised this i was told to pick a new time/date in my county
i did this but i did not appear so worried i would not make the deadline for completion i booked it myself
next came the email at 9pm that i had to wait for the client to book it or i would get a rescheduling fee
emailed back asking to be taken off the job as by this point i was very stressed and it was not a pleasant job to do
Still no contact from the company, i did not go to the scheduled appointment as i was not sure if i would get charged to take the exam on arrival
Its all rather a mess but now i am so stressed about it and so sure i will be recognised as a mystery shopper that i just don't believe its in anyone's best interest for me to do the job.
Anyone else have a similar experience?

Gap is acting abit weird. I have just been doing some of the brand specific tests and one of the ones jobs I wanted to go for I can't go for because the arrow for the date is in grey instead of black. Does this mean the job has gone? I mean if the job has gone surely it should not be appearing?!Squirrelling away in September No 33It's not about the money, it's about financial freedom, being in control of it and living in the natural world and not a material world0

I am deliberately not mentioning the MS company name in case they are watching us!
In these days of ever-spiralling-downwards fees, how long do you guys think it will it be before the two different types of visits (bling and main) get combined into a single job?
I'm finding that I can make these jobs worthwhile by doing bling and main at the same time: it amazes me that there are MSers picking up one but not the other (unless they are constrained by rotations).
On another tangent .... has anyone on here been offered "training" in Peterborough?? On the same tangent, is there anyone in the Cambridge area (30 mile radius) who would like some regular work (not high paid, but acceptable travel expenses)? PM me on this, please.0 -

I had problems with one these Bare jobs in the past. I just phoned Bare and they sorted it (Bare has phone numbers with UK dialling codes). Unless it shows on your Shop Log with the right details, then you should not do it. If you go back to your original allocation email, they usually give a phone number.0 -
