Got 6 more - just around 5 more in the Glasgow area I haven't done !

I'm going for the full set but there's someone out there getting in the way!

There are some that I could do second time round now, but the staff in these places are fairly permanent - even 9 months on they'd remember me.

Sorry your Cafe was so bad ! They should be using the in house cafe as a show piece for some of their food rather than using the cheapest rubbish, cooked badly.

    that might be me!

Tomorrow I've got a scenario at a shop where I have to enquire about something that not many 18 year old students would be asking about... am i allowed to pretend my mum sent me in? For Retail Maxim

Without seeing the brief it's hard to say, read through it and think after each point whether the shop assistant is naturally going to do what the questionnaire is looking for, e.g. in a clothes shop if they want the assistant to suggest trying the item on then you couldn't say the item was for someone else, as in this scenario they wouldn't suggest trying it on as it's not you the item needs to fit.

If you're unsure contact them before you go, or it may be better if you can think of a scenario in which you would be asking about the item (e.g. I once did a shoe shop which is aimed at much older women, I told them I'd got my first job since leaving college and they'd recommended the place to get some suitable office shoes, as I had been going in ballet flats which they felt weren't professional-looking).

I think you should try as best you can to make a plausible cover story to fit you, this will allow the staff to ask questions and try and close the sale. What sort of shop is it - old men's clothing, posh holiday...Or is it the bra shop?:rotfl:

Bit of a thick question re: REACT coffee shop. It says I have to take someone with me. My Sister is not well and I was wanting to do it today. It mentions in the brief that you can say someone was going to join you and you are waiting for them. Does that mean I have to have someone with me or say I am expecting someone who then does not turn up? Eeeeek.

:eek::mad::eek: Aaaaargh! Why can't I pass the bloody test for the GfK phone shop!!
The notes are long winded, but not exactly complicated.
Anyone else done it and relised some silly obvious mistake??

The guidelines say you can go on your own, but you have to start a conversation with the barista mentioning that you are waiting for someone. I wouldn't be comfortable doing this, especially if they are busy. And then when no-one turns up, you might look like a bit of a saddo!! :o

Can't you do it next week??

Oh I don't mind. Taking photos of shops makes me look like a saddo too. I will see if I can get someone to do it with me next week. If not, I will go it alone.

Got 3 fine dines next week too and I'm struggling to find anyone to come with me. My family members get heaps of free pizza, cookies, sandwiches, meals and stuff off me, so have decided they are no longer worthy. My friends are a bit wary cos they think they will have to buy me a posh dinner next time. LOL.

I've just taken the test & passed - the only thing I think of is that you can enquire about any phone, it doesn't have to be specific. Either that, or the question about if you are not approached, within 10 minutes leave and return half an hour later.

    Hope that helps

    Good luck ;)
