Out of interest how come you ignore the question about where your £50k windfall went, each and every time it is asked? Considering you are in negative equity and have never spent much on cars, you cant afford carpet or to fix leaking pipes or even heat your home and you have a serious amount of debt, where did that vast sum go?0

I am sure even a bank manager (despite their challenges, afterall what made them aspire to be a bank manager) shoud be capable of looking at someones bank statements for the past couple of years to get a quick feel of how much they earn/how much they are spending/how much they are wasting and be able to draw a conclusion from that as to the likeliness of a loan being repaid.
The modern bank manager has very little control over the matter, they tap your details into the computer, it does the credit check and then they approve or not on that basis - on the information you've provided and your current problems, it's going to say no.0 -

Ah but you missed the post where he said "He doesn't listen when 'computer says no'".:money:0 -

Ok, lets see where I can make some savings this month then....I stil have 4 direct debits to come off...thats a £15 charge each time...the cardcash account is not supposed to go overdrawn, so thats £5 a day unauthorised overdraft borrowing....Im not making this stuff up...if I only had to pay £400 in debt I wouldn't be in this mess, I wouldn't feel the urge to gamble, and I wouldn't be complaining here. I'll stop when at least one person can see where Im coming from...:footie:
Regular savers earn 6% interest (HSBC, First Direct, M&S)
Loans cost 2.9% per year (Nationwide) = FREE money.

Ok, I've resisted as long as I could, I'm going to have to comment.
Firstly let me start by saying, Ciscokid, you're a Douche-Bag.
But getting to the point, what people are trying to get across to you is that by borrowing this money (which won't happen) is just going to get you in a worse situation. Lets say you did get this cash, what happens in a years time when you've spunked it all on fixing your house, paying your debts, or buying new cars and putting it on a 'Sure thing' at the tracks, as the case may be? You're just going to want to borrow more.
Sort out some repayment plans, set a fresh step account, and start again. Either that or go on Dragons Den and tell them about your idea of someone going bankrupt for you. Which by the way was the funniest thing I have ever heard/read. Bravo for that.New Years resolutions...don't get my signature removed and set up an A-Team style MSE crack survival team. P.S Apparently mrb1 and David 32 hate me. This makes me sad0 -

He also ignores any comments anyone makes about his wife and children too. He is so obsessed about money and where to get more from nothing else matters.
I don't think he cares about anything else.
He's a Money junkie, looking for his next money fix!
And what will he do with the money (not that he'll ever get it) he will spend it on his 'habbit' and be worse off next year! And more desperate!
What happened to the £50k... he spent it!
He either gambled it away or he's got another 'habbit' that costs money!
I have no idea what his 'habbit' is... but he is showing classic signs of a desperate person who needs a 'fix' and fast!
And nothing stands in the way of a addiction, not even a wife and children, living in a delapidated house, with no heating, burst pipes and leaking roof!
I'm just disgusted by his selfish need for more money, which won't be spent getting out of the hole, but getting further into it!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
Thought I made it clear where the 50k went
25k deposit for house (we were practically homeless at the time!! couldnt rent through council and couldnt rent private due to bad credit!!!!!!!!!)
10k on debt
4k on cars
tv/couch/fridge/washingmachine/carpets ?K
treating my parents to one or two things....£not much
i had wanted to spend some money on our first ever holiday and include my parents in this, but we ran out of money before we could do this. my father then passed away. bereavement/guilt/hurt/anger/frustration can do a lot to you...
I then got into 5000 debt which is now 15,000 because when i went to my bank and asked them loan me the 5000 because i had been here before and knew where it would lead if i didnt just get that debt rolled into a bank loan...and now im right back to where i started...sorry if you think i have an "i know better" attitude, i am only speaking from experience...and my experience of your tried and tested methods is that they clearly don't work for me!!!0 -
I have just ignored 5 calls on my mobile from payday UK....and now I get this email...this is just how easy it is to get into debt...when your bank looks like mine and all other avenues are closed, its far too easy to fall into this trap!!! Get the money you need now or look at ways in which you might be able to save a few bob by this time next year....
Dear idiot
We have tried to contact you today by telephone to offer you the option to defer your current loan.
By deferring your loan you only need to repay the interest amount on your coming payday. Your loan will then be extended for a further month so that you repay the full amount on your following payday.
Alternatively you can repay in full to be automatically approved for a new loan, possibly of a higher amount.
Did you know that as PaydayUK (ECM1) work with a credit reference agency, if we have completed a credit check and you repay your loan on time, this could also help to improve your credit rating. However if you do not repay on time this could have a negative impact on your credit rating.0 -

This is it!!! After your windfall ... you did some good things. Cleared debts, put a deposit down, etc. However, you continued to spend beyond your means AFTER you had spent the £50k. That was a mistake. It was at that point you should have done the right thing and started budgetting to only spend what you could afford.
So this is entirely your fault and you HAVE NOT tried and tested what people are suggesting. You just think you have.
I'm still furious you suggested someone ELSE go bankrupt for you. How is that honest?? Seriously - do what has been suggested or go bankrupt yourself.
Those are your ONLY options. This thread will continue until you lose Internet access through non-payment of your bills, which will shortly be followed by you and your family being made homeless.
I really hope your wife finds a real man and leaves you before then.0
