There were only about half a dozen plum ones at about 11am ,I think there was a couple of 8's.But no idea if there would be any left. There were none at Craigleith

Decided to jump on the bus out there anyway - no plum ones left, but I got a navy one, so not too bad. Couldn't have been there earlier anyway, I was at uni. Thanks. :)

  • I went in at lunch time and the queues were really long far too long for me to wait in at lunch time as I had to get back to work so I left it and went again after I finished work and the queues this time were even more massive and they had a ringed area were only certain amount of people were allowed into at a certain time and even then you had to have an assistant with you in case you ran off with more than one and all the black ones were gone by then so were all the smaller size 8's so I had to go for a size 10 instead in plum colour the ribbed one very nice had to wait 40 minutes in the queue and it was boiling hot and many more people came behind me but they did have loads of stock so I'm sure everyone waiting would have been more than happy to get one in the end

Went St Helens at 9.00am and joined the que at the front of the shop, daft m and s opened the backdoor 1st then the front, which resulted in 2 ques, so then sales assistant tried to form 1 que, which people did, then people coming n from the front started for form a new que, again at the sales assistants orders, bedlaham

Got the red ribbed cardi, just looked at it's a size 16, wanted a 14's stupid sales assistant handed me the wrong size, stupid me didn't look at the size.

But met my mate and we went back bought 2 black ones, for her grandchildren, went for a coffee then back to the back of the que and got 2 more.

Was dissapointed this time, as they was not handing out chocolates this time. :rotfl:

I was lucky - had a half day today and in Oxford Street (Marble Arch) got a black ribbed cardi in size 10 and then nipped down to Tottenham Court Road one and got a dark brown ribbed cardi also in 10.

Marble Arch there were LOADS there and they were really strict about 1 per person and stamped my receipt. In Tottenham Court Road I didn't notice them stamping the receipt but maybe they did. And at Marble Arch they were just handing them out and Tottenham Court Road you could browse and try on. That was partly the reason I didn't get the other tie cardigan because I couldn't try it on in Marble Arch and in Tottenham Court Road I was just so tired I couldn't be bothered.

My mum tried to get a size 14 in Croydon at about 3.30pm and was told only small sizes left and not many colours either. You would think if the larger sizes sold out quicker then surely M&S would put out more of those sizes. Nevermind.

I'm pleased with 2 new cardis for £20 though though.

I was there about 11am. Its funny to think we may meet other MSErs and not even know!:rotfl:

I was in a line of really friendly people and thought to myself they might be msers but was too shy to ask lol :D

The staff in store though reminded me of old war movies when things were rationed ;) doesn't hurt to crack a smile at 9am when it's snowing and freezing!
  • in chelmsford, at 9am, was a joke. you had to queue behind the people trying on for sizes, then jobsworth instructed a sales assistant to ask your size, then you were given what she wanted.! as they had different styles, you couldn't see which style you were given properly, as it had a surcurity barrier round it, along with 3 guards. i will admit i went round the back and swopped the cardi to what i wanted. i got told off. (what a naughty girl). my daughter got one, she didnt mind what she was given luckily. hope other people had a better experience, than us poor soles in chelmsford. hate to think what jobsworth did in a previous life.
