The police agreed with me re the arrows when highways did them several years ago, but highways will not move, I am happy to side with the police.
My guess is that the Police would say anything to you to simply get rid of you! Bet your known by them as the local nutter.
Your driving and your attitude stinks! The photos don't lie. You are  and I 'm glad that I don't drive in Preston very often. Blue text on this forum usually signifies hyperlinks, so click on them!..:wall:0 -
And yet you choose to ignore their advise to merge into lane 1, because you know better.
I would stop digging if I were you.
They are telling you to merge the wrong way, by doing so you have to go back to were you were in the first place!!

I've not looked in on this thread, just decided to peek out of curiosity.

Here the Audi undertakes 2 cars at a road merge where the HWC states that you should not do so, it really is as simple as that.

Being overtaken. If a driver is trying to overtake you, maintain a steady course and speed, slowing down if necessary to let the vehicle pass. Never obstruct drivers who wish to pass. Speeding up or driving unpredictably while someone is overtaking you is dangerous. Drop back to maintain a two-second gap if someone overtakes and pulls into the gap in front of you.

Here it's clear that the same Audi has changed lanes to prevent the video car overtaking him, people don't like being overtaken these days.
Audi driver = tw4t
What's the big deal guys?
Need I say more?“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

My dad's called Derek too (100% truth)
He can't drive for !!!!!! either. Was so glad when i passed and could "drive" myself
Maybe it's a "derek" thing? If Adam and Eve were created first
.Does that mean we are all inbred0 -

You are a right 'derrick' aren't you.
People have gone to the time and trouble to post photos showing that the road is arrow straight, and that it is the right hand lane that is ending, with the arrows indicating that those in lane 2 should merge back into lane 1.
But being a complete 'derrick' you know better, ignore the markings and drive like a 'derrick', irrespective of anyone else.0 -
