Managed to get to the shop on the tractor. :rotfl:It was the only way apart from walking.
Done just the dailies and thats it, gonna have a snooze on the sofa for awhile and see what i can get done later.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -
I've cleaned the bathroom, now going to go and tackle another pile of dishes which should see them all gone...in theory
Spent an hour before rearranging my clothing drawers and putting stuff away. Guess I should go and make a move otherwise I'll still be sat here at midnight

Just had a lovely afternoon in town - I braved it in the end - the only hairy bit was when I was near the hospital and an ambulance came up behind me with its sirens on - I pulled over, but the road was on a camber, and I was worried I wasn't going to get back out. The roads are very slushy now, but there are still ice patches underneath that cause the occasional skid. The park and ride was on today though, so made use of that. Ran into a very frustrated LadyL in Starbucks as she couldn't get hold of her DS - he was asleep after a late party and hadn't even noticed that it had snowed and didn't know she couldn't make it to pick him up. Fingers crossed it's cleared a bit for her tomorrow so that she can get him home with her.
I managed to get all of the individual Christmas cards for relatives and for Moon whilst I was in town, and also ran into a friend who I've not seen for a while - hopefully we're going to meet up whilst she's staying with her parents, as they only live in the next village. I've done a bit of flying though, as I spent £4.99 on Moon's presents in the end, so I've just polished up a penny using brown sauce, washed and dried it, and put it inside his card so he gets his full £5. lol Looks like I did it just in time, as he's just walked through the door about an hour early as work was dead.
Now he's home, I'm going to fill in the rest of the cards so that he can sign them, and I can wrap all of the presents whilst he's out at his work Christmas do tonight (partners aren't invited).
Well I'm off to get a cup of tea now, as no doubt Moon will be putting the kettle on in a minute.
Hugs to all who need or want them, and get well wishes where appropriate.

It was still warm and floppy, so not long since expired

PenPen and JulieJim - sorry to hear about your rabbits
DH was on annual leave for this weekend and on Monday but cos of the snow [6 inches in 4 hours] he has been called in [staff can't get in but he's supposed to be able to - go figure] - he works in a residential home for adults with learning/physical difficulties and the home is in a village. So I have sent him off with blankets and shovel in case he gets stuck and with STRICT instructions to phone me the minute he gets there. Its still snowing very heavily and I'm worried about him. He may have to stay overnight if night staff can't get in and you are not allowed to sleep when doing the night shift and I don't even want to think about tomorrow!
Love and hugs to all who need or want them

Well, slept for hours. DD clumped in to ask where the Sky dish lived as the TV had gone off. I told her and started fumbling for my socks, only to hear her kicking the snow off her shoes as she had gone straight downstairs, picked up the extra long corner broom that I got to help get the cat litter out from behind the loo (the boy cat is convinced that the broadcast method is the only way to deal with toileting), marched outside and swept the snow off the dish. One less job for me! :j:
Popped round the shops to see that there was a lot of traffic on its way into the town centre, so stuck with the little supermarket/glorified corner shop, as we needed a couple of bits.
DD has decided that she doesn't have to have much for Christmas, as she can have stuff afterwards and some of it might be on sale then , so she suggested I give her cold, hard cash instead
Other than a perfunctory swish around in the kitchen, she has watched kids' TV all day, I have done little else other than listen to music and eat
Oh, and the shop sells miniature spirits so I have a dinky bottle of bourbon. The last time I had any spirits was a very long time ago, as I couldn't justify buying alcohol over anything my girls or the cats needed.
So, do I have coffee with it, ginger or just on the rocks? Decisions, decisionsI could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.Yup you are officially Rock n Roll0 -
