:santa2:Hi everyone! I've finally caught up with the thread.
Hugs to all those having a difficult week.It is never too late to become what you were always intended to be0 -
Managed an hours sleep here, it didn't really help any and i woke in an awful mood. Dinner been done so i need to go clear the table. Kids are hyper with Rhys being in a foul mood.
So plan is to get Rhys ready for bed, get the kids to finish their rooms, feed the wm and td and see what else can be done.Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough. And things go wrong no matter what I do.Now and then it seems that life is just too much. But you've got the love I need to see me through.:j :j0 -

DD has decided that she doesn't have to have much for Christmas, as she can have stuff afterwards and some of it might be on sale then , so she suggested I give her cold, hard cash instead
DS has been given, from his dad, a gift voucher for xmas - he asked for 'gift vouchers'.
Unfortunately he failed to specify a shop and his dad (what WAS he thinking?) has bought him an HMV voucher - £50. DS is now attempting to persuade ME to hand over cold hard cash for it 'and then you'll have £50 to spend in HMV' - BUT I rarely shop there, more often I use HMV on line and the voucher cannot be used there.
Ironically I did price up an item in HMV that I needed today - £42.99. Then I checked the same item in Game (same price) but bought it from Argos for £34.99. And I hate Argos with a passion!Don't put it DOWN; put it AWAY"I would like more sisters, that the taking out of one, might not leave such stillness" Emily DickinsonJanice 1964-2016
Thank you Honey Bear0 -
Tree lights on, I'll finish the rest whilst watching strictly in a bit.
Fortunately the party we are going to tonight is only around the corner so we can still go. An old friend is over from New Zealand so it will be a shame if people can't get there. The birds of sadness may fly overhead but don't let them nest in your hair0 -
Its snowing! Quite heavy and laying, Pants!!! Kids are outside playing in garden..insert confused smiley...
Half of presents are wrapped, 2 kids and 2 cats 'helping', I've given up and will finish later.
Pigpen yes I would apprieciate everydays list on Monday too if its not to much hassle, Thanks.0 -
Evening all! We had quite heavy snow here this morning but then the sun came out and melted some of it. Am guessing what's left will freeze overnight though! Haven't been out as football was postponed so have had a lazy pyjama day
Have skimmed through the thread and noticed hugs and prayers are needed for many of you, especially sexymouse, greenbee, mumof2, LW and L-L xx
Love and hugs to Toots too xx
Sorry if I've missed anyone - have a hug too xx
Happy Birthday Crafty x
Congratulations and commiserations to all as required.
I have done minimal flying this week but I am planning on completely blitzing the downstairs of my house over the next 3 days as I have visitors on Weds and the front room is currently housing much of the contents of my classroom as well as presents (mine and those for others) and tonnes of junk! Then my bedroom will be tackled towards the end of the week, with the spare rooms if there is any time left.
I also have loads of school work to do .........
But, hey, it's the holidays:T :j

hi everyone
got our tree up (pics on FB for those that are interested!) - it looks pretty!I made my niece and DD listen to Christmas songs as they decorated it
:rotfl:
have also made some chocolate fudge to go in as extra little presents for most of the women on DH's side of the family (we don't buy presents for adults on my side - v sensibly IMHO!!)
It's a new recipe and very very sweet but absolutely delicious!! We'll definitely be making it again
hugs and spoons to everyone - this coming week is going to be a bit mad for everyone I'm sure..

Thursday - Master messroom! and landing ALL DONE
Dailies done and hoovered right through while I had it out for the bedroom. Went shopping with DD then we had our hair cut.
When we got back there was a note to say a parcel was behind the bin. Turned out to be a beautiful bouquet of flowers from my sister.
I keep asking people about whether to leave my gas heating on constant at the moment on low. Have read the threads etc but still no wiser. Thermostat is in living room and set to 15.

Boddy - I have my heating on constantly - 28 at the mo and i'll put it down to 20 tonight at bedtime - I can not abide being cold even though winter is my favourite time of the year. Its only high at the mo - its normally about 20 during the day and 16 at night. We are a semi detached with no one the other side of us and at this time of the year the sun does not get to hit the house at all - trees out the back stop it shining on us. My combined Elec and gas is £95 a month and I'm happy with this. Hope that helps a bit
Who is going to win Strictly - I did want Kara to win but I'm fickle and now can't decide between Kara and Pam!

cleanish house = shattered Hex. DH helped! None of the prep done but most rooms look (and smell) so much better than they did this morning
. Off for a bath in a minute, then up early to do the prep stuff tomorrow.
