Grrrr lost a big post earlier with all the replies and my updated list.
Am making progress in the middle room just not enough, oh well hopefully people coming tomorrow not me well enough not to care what the house looks like (its not that bad just not how I'd like it to be), oh and the furniture is pretty much as it was. I asked DH where he'd prefer the piano thinking of the 2 alternatives and he said I wouldnt take any notice, told him I would, so he said to leave it where it is :rotfl:. Its still where it was and I've just swopped a sofa and a chair around and it seems to have worked. All I have to do now is get the other tree up but thats another job for tomorrow.
See you all then

Penpen oh no
awful news. Does that mean the CAB is closing completely? !
Lets hope not - but it's almost inevitable that we will be having to reapply for our own jobs, will lose some staff, which will mean that some of the long-standing volunteers will leaveWe're also being asked to do more and more with less and less (money, staff and volunteers)
PenPen - horrified for you and the people who needed the service, but also e-mail is !!!! poor practice, stunned that an organisation who advise mistreated people would behave this way. I always look people in the face when I deliver the bad news, and I will not work for anyone who expects different. It isn't nice but at the end of the day it is what I would expect, and am paid to do.
Thanks hex :A With you having the experience, it's good to know we're not just imagining how badly this has been handled.
Our organisation (nationally, not just our branch) is well known as being shockingly bad at emplyment practice  One of the managers came in yesterday morning to see the staff who were in, then left and we saw no more of anyone all day. The managers were all locked in a meeting all day, so nobody could contact them. With us all being part time there were hardly any of us in - why didn;t someone check and speak to everybody individually - I'd be devestated to get such an e-mail with no warningi USED THAT WORD AT WORK ONCE - AND HAD TO EAPLAIN WHAT IT MEANT - TO MY boss
I used "concomitant" in a report one year, and my boss just removed it as she couldn;t bear to ask me what it meant :rotfl::rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -

Oh dear - oven cleaning sneaked onto the list didn't it?
I must do mine - it looks deadful!
On a Christmas note - is anyone else missing stuff from Amazon? I've got some orders that were dispatched on the 13th that still haven't turned up despite being ordered with Prime!
As always fellow flyers your advice would be much appreciated!:jFlylady and proud of it:j0 -

YepI was discussing this with friends last night - I ordered some stuff which was dispatched on 8th and it was due on 13th and 14th - no sign
Apparently it's all held up in a warehouse somewhere
On a similar note - are your pillar boxes overflowing? We've not been able to post stuff from work as it's confidential and the pillar boxes are so full, you can just put your hand in and pull stuff out :rudolf: Sheep, pigs, hens and bees on our Teesdale smallholding :rudolf:0 -
I'm due some stuff too, post last week and due early this week, but still nada. According to the tracking I've got on one of them, its taking 5 days just to get to the national distribution centre:eek:. Though I'm taking comfort in the fact that they were ordered well before the cutoff and if their late, their late. Not sure weather I'll stick to the final philosophy coz panic and anxiety are my friends (not!) but I'll try.
Also waiting on stuff from Play.com.....Note to self, next year be more organised, never heard that before:DNow MARRIED!11/09/100 -

Yes, quite a lot of things, bought early, and either the seller paid for 48 hour delivery two weeks ago, or I paid extra for fast delivery, and still not turned up. Huge numbers of letters going astray too. We keep getting extra post for the neighbours... however our postie just now is a certified doughball!
My sis ordered £150 worth of goods from Sparks and Mincers which was delivered (and signed for) to a house 20 miles away with the same name, but totally different postcode.
Royal mail needs to do some flying!!!Saving up £25000/£3500 by Jan 1st 2012 by selling my clutter. Remember I'm doing it for Dad.
