Hugs and a glass fo whatever you fancy required all round I think? Especially Lamewolf, PenPen, Vanilla and Valli
Toots :santa2: thankyou!
PenPen - horrified for you and the people who needed the service, but also e-mail is !!!! poor practice, stunned that an organisation who advise mistreated people would behave this way. I always look people in the face when I deliver the bad news, and I will not work for anyone who expects different. It isn't nice but at the end of the day it is what I would expect, and am paid to do.
House is no better - and first visitors are now due Sunday. I am working tomorrow, and have no more child free time prior to the big day. The playroom is nearly done, and I have done all the ironing backlog and so on - so it is achievable with a bit of focus. No energy and shattered after a busy few days which makes it more challenging.'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need' Marcus Tullius Cicero0 -

Thank you

Yes!!
My 18 year old DD is exactly the same, carb obsessed if you ask me.
She will only eat noodles, pasta, lasagne, sometimes kievs, sausages...will not eat most vegetables, meat with bones in ie chicken on the bone, she will eat corn on the cob but not sweetcorn from a tin...go figure...oh and is also addicted to crisps.:o
I don't know the answer, its been a battle for years and if I'm frank I've given up.
She has bizarrely started eating bulgar wheat which she really likes.
Shopping done again, need to assess pressies, think it's literally just stocking fillers now.
Just made some pots of gold for DD2 friends at school, she's finishes for holidays tomorrow, wish I did.
Hubby still slaving doing the other bedroom, we should be in for christmas and DD2 will get the other room and finally will be out of the box room.
Huge hugs to all those going through it at the mo. Seems the world is turning upside down for many, you have my sympathy. xxx
Also Toots where are you hun, not seen you about for a while, hope you're ok and not too cold and snowed in again. Huggles winging their way up to you.

More progress made with the ironing hill. I've done 10 of DH's shirts
He is away tonight but can't be booked out on Saturday so he is deffo coming home tomorrow:T
One of the Mum's from DS3's class is emigrating on 2nd Jan to Texas for her husband's job. She's having a drink in the local tomorrow night so we will go and blacken our noses.
DS1 & 2 have been driving me crackers tonight. They always bicker when DH is away. I really don't have the patience to deal with it and they have the strength I am lacking.
Night all. Sweet dreams.0 -

oo sorry didn't mean to shoiut
been to 'work' as we had second public performance of Y3/4/5 show so I thought I had better show willing, since we ask parents to bring their kids back. Really cold but since we had rain, then snow, then below zero temps things have frozen solid because they were wet

my list for tomorrow
bank to pay in cheques and cash gifts before i spend it.
check and check and check weather forcasts as planning to drive from durham to glasgow on tuesday  weather dependent so hope its ok for me to drive up as planning on one of 2 routes, either down to scotch corner and over and then up the motorway or down to leeds and then up the motorway (this route is last resort as its longer time, mile and fuel wise) as my usual route to gretna before joining the motorway is lots of b roads which dont want to do if its icy or wet.

Soappie Hope DD is recovering ok.
Thanks Boddy - she's doing OK. The valium and the numbing has worn off so she's in some pain. She made herself (and her boyfriend who caught the bus over - took him an hour to get from his to ours which is only about 4 miles!) some ham and pea soup this evening (I offered but she refused!) and she had hers all liquidised up. She did well - it tasted divine. She then drove BF home (I bit my tongue at the idea!) and is back here again, home safe. She'll sleep well tonight I think.
Oh - and I don't think I got around to saying how sorry I was to read about your Mum Boddy, so sad and you'll have a big hole in your life and your routine. It'll take time for you to adjust to your loss but you will, I'm sure.
No snow here yet - but the temp's dropped considerably. Tomorrow I need to do my Christmas shopping. On a severly tight budget! Including getting in the Christmas tree..I am the leading lady in the movie of my life
