I've made some mince pies, but I don't like the mincemeat...
    I don't like them either
Someone knocked on the door earlier about the water leak on our shared supply (which I knew about, I could hear it :)) offering to sort out my water supply too. But if, as they say, they've moved everyone else off the shared supply apart from me, why do I care? My bit has already been repaired (but they don't know that). Also, they say insurance covers it, but that's only for accidental damage, and I have a feeling that the problem is just old age!If they have to pay to get it replaced then somer water boards give you £100 refund

Achieved very little today. Hairdresser has arrived for family shearing so I'll tidy up the kitchen whilst she makes a start.

    Evening all.

Last day at current work place tomorrow. I shall miss the people but I can't say I'll miss the lack of things to do and then what I do do is, well, for example, like today, photocopy 350 odd letters then stuff the originals into envelopes and stamp 'em with a first class stamp. I thank the great one up above that I had my little digital radio and earpiece with me!

But I have flown since I've got in - mainly mucking out chickens, kittens, and the utility area. I have also soaked my feet and clipped my toenails. Ahhh, Soappie knows how to live the high life!

Off to bung some sausages in the oven for dinner...

Monday - bathroom, study and other grotty places! DONE

Dailies done and living room started. Ive been to my voluntary job today. One of my co volunteers is ill and will not get better. He comes in for an hour on a Tues now and does a little and sees all his friends. Today I asked if he would like a photo album made up of him with all the people he knows there. So loads of pics taken and lots of fun had.

    Load of washing done.
    More cards wrote.
Off to do some more wrapping now.

Hugs and spoons for those that need them specially Toots. Lady L. Diva and LW.

Thanks Dusty... I think I might be able to improve the mincemeat (make it less sticky anyway) by adding to it. I only care that they look nice, as I won't be the one eating them :D and i'm going to leave the water thing well alone until someone finds a leak in MY bit of the pipe (and then I'll insist on a water meter too)

So what's next, and will it be more interesting?

Work done (not much) been to reflexology, OH has gone to stay with a friend (about time he saw another adult other than me or his ex) and has taken his share of the presents with him so there's slightly less stuff in the sitting room. I'm trying to think whether there is anything I want for christmas/my birthday so I can give him some hints...

First batch of mince pies frozen. Might make a few more this evening so that they're out of the way and I can clear up a bit in the kitchen.

Doctors appointment made for Friday. Finally did it because I found a very, very miniscule lump when I was in the shower this morning :( I know its unlikely to be anything nasty (feels like a large lentil/small pea) but it did finally galvanise me into action.

Guess I should make the most of the kindling and logs OH sorted out and go and light a fire :)

Greenbee, well done on making the GP appointment and getting a check up - I am sure it is nothing to worry about but best to get checked isn't it.

Missus Aka, don't think many of us worry about shoes; I'm normally dressed before I start purely because of taking DD to school / DS to pre-school but on a weekend that is NOT the case! Glad you've done so well today.

Soappie, I was just thinking 'this girl knows how to kick back and have fun' when I read about cleaning out the chooks/kittens etc! As a fellow chook keeper I know just how much fun this can be :)

Lame Wolf, you must take care of yourself and have lunch says she who often skips meals :o. Hope you're OK my love.

Right, off to get the birthday/christmas presents in a minute and start wrapping. DH is here so he can help (he doesn't know this yet)! Had a good day today and I am feeling pretty motivated re flying .... let's hope this feeling lasts and I don't descend into the hovel we have been in for the last few months!!!
