Evening all,
Busy day at work - it's from one extreme to the other! Needless to say i am knackered.
All I have done tonight is some ironing, but I can't cross it off my list because I didn't finish it.

Kazmeister i wear knitted slipper socks in a pump style that my DH's gran made for me does that count? Would love some UGGS though just cant afford it, will have to save
Mumof2 totally agree cant see the point of wearing lace up shoes unless i am going somewhere & i dont think i own any its either trainers, pumps or stilettos and while i can see DH loving watching me clean in stilettos (i dont think he would leave the house) i think it would be slightly too uncomfortable for meSPC Member#1096 Target £150 Feb Count £82.18

So what's next, and will it be more interesting?
I finally got offered a fixed term contract for a lowly position. BUT it means I'll have some responsibility at last and won't have to sit there continually asking people how I may help them next ..... so I'll get to use my brain a bit AND make decisions..... and, most importantly, get paid for the Christmas shutdown AND holidays AND any sick I might need to take.... plus parking... (no more hanging around for buses in the freezing cold because parking charges in town are too expensive...). Still won't have two brass farthings to rub together but it's a start....
Soappie, I was just thinking 'this girl knows how to kick back and have fun' when I read about cleaning out the chooks/kittens etc! As a fellow chook keeper I know just how much fun this can be
Oh yes, Mumof2, although mucking out the chooks isn't particularly fun, it does bring a smile to my face, they watch what I do with such interest! And I was gifted with another egg today. I love the way (in a totally non-bestial gross sort of way I hasten to add!) the one that's laying squats at me the minute I enter their enclosure. They are a constant source of amusement and far more intelligent than I ever imagined they'd be.
But, I'm off to bed. Sleep well allI am the leading lady in the movie of my life

Hi Kaz when is DS home from uni for chirstmas? We have an E:ON meter which we got for free when we switched suppliers. DH got free from work this week an AlertMe monitor which we are trying out. That is the one we can use to view consumption remotely.
Off to bed now so see you all tomorrow

ETA We have some kind of basic EON monitor and it helped us initially cut back consumption by a third (mainly due to put the gas boiler on a timern!!!???) but could do with something more specific. WIll have a look at your link. And DS weather permitting will be home on Thursday and if it looks like it will be forecast heavy snow then he will miss his last day and I will fetch him tomorrow, cant wait.Mortgage, we're getting there with the end in sight £6587 07/23, otherwise free of the debt thanks to MSE help!0 -

I have a question... does anyone have any tips on cleaning out a microwave?
I had a look at the inside of ours today (as it has stopped rotating properly, but that's another issue!) and it is GROSS... covered in bits of bolognese, porridge and goodness knows what else! I'm sure time and elbow grease will get it, but, well, I'm pushed for time... and the rest of the house urgently requires my stock of elbow grease!“Obstacles are those frightful things you see when you take your eyes off your goals.”

Eugh, just spent over 2 hours wrapping the kids' presents - not finished but really broken the back of it. That was including wrapping all DS's presents too (birthday on Sunday).
DH went to bed early and I think he has the lurgy DS has - cough, sore throat and he said he feels really rough. Then again, he always has the flu, never a cold and whenever I am ill, he suddenly becomes ill too and of course his is much worse (roll eyes smiley)!!
Sat here decluttering a piece of bread and butter pudding - I know, very naughty but nom nom nom!!
Night night all xxFlymarkeeteer: £168 and counting0
