I think a tenner is far too much. A fiver is enough, especially if another 50 or so on his or her round give the same.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Old style MoneySaving boards.

If you think a tenner is the right amount then it is.
I would never tip my previous postie as he was useless. The current one is a lot better so will be getting something this year.
Probably a tenner as it happens0 -
We always buy our postie some beer, I checked if he was a beer or lager man first He's always very chuffed. I usually buy a big pack of beer for our binmen too, I made a right exhibition of myself chasing them down the street last year shouting, come back you've forgotten your beer, thankfully they saw me and stopped !!:hello:

in my former life, doing paper rounds, and pizza delivery, tips were always welcome- usually the 'poorest' household were the most generous!
-cash, chocolates, wine etc (no wine recd, on the paper round, i might add!), all gratefully received.
what bugged me though, were the people who made a fuss about NOT giving anything.. i hope they choke on their sprouts!Long time away from MSE, been dealing real life stuff..
Sometimes seen lurking on the compers forum :-)0 -
Yes we tip our postman £10 at christmas - he is worth his weight in gold! :j:j0
