Just chucked another £50 at the mortgage account bringing the total for this month to £90. Yes, yes, I should be saving for the holiday which is only 8 weeks away but I feel guilty not overpaying, especially as there is all this talk of interest rates rising. If/when they do rise overpayments will obviously be more difficult (although should still be doable if IR rise slowly). Pay date got changed at work and put back a week and a half, meaning the cut off date was 2 weeks later, so we got an extra half a months pay, nice! However most of that has gone into the holiday pot.

Should be getting my next statement through soon so will be able to give my Feb total
I'm expecting a big number to get my total on track for the £6000 total.

next month wont be so good but the earlier you OP the more interest you save eh?

No 15 reporting in made an overpayment of £610 +£200 giving a total of £810 for February - hurrah for no council tax this month.

Really impressed on here recently how many people are finding little amounts to throw at their mortgage throughout the month. Pammj74 is doing particularly wonderfully

Thanks curlygirl. There should be a big chunk of money to throw at it when MIL's estate has probate granted, but that's not really something one can feel proud of achievement-wise IYSWIM?
