Managed another £250 this month (all from eBay sales), so total overpayment for February is currently:- £2,000.

Any more money I get from eBay this month, will go into the holiday fund.
  • #192 reportng in with an OP for February of £500. Not as much as I had hoped but I have also squirreled some away in savings, which earn marginally more interest after tax deductions. Ready and poised to fill a new cash ISA in April.
What goes around comes around.....I hope!
  • #167 here 412.28 paid off this month bringing my total for the year so far to £750. It needs to get better if i'm going to hit this years target!!
    Mortgage @ 01.06.10 £165,999

  • Hi, reviewed my money last night and have changed my standing order to my morgage from £250 to £500 a month starting 5th March. Which after interest taken means I will overpay £262 each month. Hopefully in June I will make this £750. This should mean after extra overpayments I should reach my overpayment target of £6000 this year.
Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off
  • Well, here I am reporting that I've managed to OP £200 for Feb #157.
Plumber's round this week to fix my broken downstairs loo. :o
Think I shall break into my Rainy Day account so that I don't have to use my OP to pay the bill! :D
  • 92 checking in with another OP this month - £250. That brings february OP to £350. Not as much as I had hoped but a little is better than nothing!

Had to pay the taxman the rest instead :(

  • Anyone here with a Halifax Mortgage needs to read over the MSE news article regarding 'Halifax to repay £500m to 300000 mortgage holders'

I think I may be eligible but anyone that is has to wait until April to find out and also find out what the 'compensation' is. If they simply give you back the 1% then I work out that's only £375 for me (small mortgage). But hey.....that's another month closer to being MF :D
