Managed another £250 this month (all from eBay sales), so total overpayment for February is currently:- £2,000.
Any more money I get from eBay this month, will go into the holiday fund.0 -
#192 reportng in with an OP for February of £500. Not as much as I had hoped but I have also squirreled some away in savings, which earn marginally more interest after tax deductions. Ready and poised to fill a new cash ISA in April. What goes around comes around.....I hope!0

Hi, reviewed my money last night and have changed my standing order to my morgage from £250 to £500 a month starting 5th March. Which after interest taken means I will overpay £262 each month. Hopefully in June I will make this £750. This should mean after extra overpayments I should reach my overpayment target of £6000 this year.Without overpayments: 15 years, 1 monthsBecause of overpayments: 10 years, 10 months left until paid off0

Plumber's round this week to fix my broken downstairs loo.
Think I shall break into my Rainy Day account so that I don't have to use my OP to pay the bill!0 -

Anyone here with a Halifax Mortgage needs to read over the MSE news article regarding 'Halifax to repay £500m to 300000 mortgage holders'
I think I may be eligible but anyone that is has to wait until April to find out and also find out what the 'compensation' is. If they simply give you back the 1% then I work out that's only £375 for me (small mortgage). But hey.....that's another month closer to being MF0 -
