anyone ever heard of them or dealt with them?

My mum ordered a top for me from here as its quite a bit cheaper here than most other places. It has no phone number and 118500 have no listing.

She ordered the top round about the 15th of November and has been in contact via email, they keep saying it is being ordered...now its being dispatched blah blah, but cant help thinking they have just robbed us.

There is a business address but it looks like a business unit.

Just feel that near a month is more than enough time to recieve this item and am pretty worried now.

This site is really new, poorly made, also there's hardly anything mentioned anywhere on google about it and they are only selling premium clothing at around half RRP it does sound dodgy, the site was only registered 12th August this year, one thing i would suggest is the postcode does bring up a few other businesses on Vicarage lane it may be worth contacting one just to see if there is an actual business in the area.

I have contacted my bank, and they have told me that I am covered if
(1) The Big Store take out more cash than my original order was worth
(2) If I receive goods that are counterfeit
and (3) If I do not receive any goods, and the Big Store take my money.
All these points are covered if you used your credit card.
You may have a problem if you used a debit card.

this has also happened to me the order was placed in november but no goods recieved, they did e-mail to say they would dispatch in 5-7 days but this was over two weeks ago and still nothing, they have not replied to recent e-mails. i also think i,ve been scammed.

Reading this has confirmed my fears, I too placed an order in November - the money was taken off my credit card approx 10 days later and I received an email 6 Dec to say my order was due in that week and would be despatched immediately. So, after not receiving it last week I sent an email on Friday 10th Dec asking if I was going to receive it for Christmas - no reply as yet and I don't suppose I'll get one - I shall process this through the bank and hope they can refund me.

oh dear,

i've been done aswell:o nearly £100 on a debit card so doubt i'll see that again, anyone know how we can plaster them all over the internet to warn others??

also is it worth reporting them to the Police??

The more threads we write on this forum, the more links will come up when thebigstore.co.uk is Googled, but we have to use thebigstore.co.uk as the title of every thread,
Unless a crime has been committed, it is of no use calling the police. We have to wait a long time to prove that there has been no delivery, as the site states that, " Christmas delivery is no longer guaranteed", and thebigstore.co.uk must have taken money from your debit or credit card AND delivered nothing!!
I'm thinking of cancelling my card as thebigstore.co.uk have not taken my money YET!!
A similar scam occurred last year, and the "company" took more money than the original orders by charging twice! I don't think we can see the full amount of people in trouble with thebigstore.co.uk yet on this site, owing to the difficulty of getting results on Google.

yes agreed, however I cancelled my order on 25th November and have still not received my refund,

I have today contacted ESSEX Police and reported the matter I have spoken to a DC who is aware of this company, he says they are legitimate however they are extremely slow!!! he has given me a reference number and told me to email the big store with his details, this should help resolve the matter and my refund, if nothing in two weeks he will go around and speak to them

I have also placed an order with thebigstore.co.uk at the beginning of December. I saw in my bank account that they had taken the money out so thought the goods must be on the way. Then about an hour later got an email from them saying my order had been delayed and would be likely to receive just before Christmas but that I could cancel if I wanted.
Decided to cancel. They then told me a refund cheque would be raised in 3-4 days. Have still not received anything and looking at the other posts wondering now whether I ever will.
Have emailed thebigstore again this morning to ask where my refund is.
