Internet explorer unable to access mse

Options
Anyone else finding "viewing" of MSE is getting regularly interrupted by that webpage "Internet Explorer unable to access MSE" over the last 24 hours or is it just me?

(Its happening at the times when I try to click onto a new thread or forum or summat - eg this morning I've had it twice in a row when I tried to click onto a thread I am following and had to go into that thread by another method).

I’m getting this a lot in Firefox this morning.
    The connection has timed out

The server at forums.moneysavingexpert.com is taking too long to respond.

Yep..just had the same thing again. I managed to "log in" and it then went and I had to have another go.

I cant imagine MSE is one of the sites under attack at present - so maybe its down to MSE taking extra precautionary measures to make sure its safe.

I honestly dont think MSE is at risk - but can understand why if there are any collywobbles at MSE Towers after that DDOS attack some months back (which I thought at the time - and still think - was someone/something/etc looking for a trial run on a major website - rather than being deliberately aimed at MSE per se IYSWIM).

I really do think we're safe here now (hopes nobody is going to tell me I'm wrong....).

I was having problems loading pages at lunchtime today (around 12:15, no it wasn't the work's server!) and I am getting Firefox "timed out" messages when loading pages this evening (just got one on another window as I write this).

Yep. Had that a fair bit as well.

Other loading problems don't seem quite as frequent now, but they still happen occasionally. :(

    Problems still here.

Just typed a post and had to re-do because it timed out before getting on.

..and this is the second time I've done THIS post - because same happened.

(phew - thought I was about to lose this one too and get that message again of not being able to access MSE).

Errrrmmm....cough...maybe I was wrong re likelihood of MSE being "attacked" - perhaps a bit of a "trial" is being run on DDOS on this site too....aaagh!
