  • I have just received the following e-mail: no gesture of goodwill!!
They have charged me for the 1 set and refunded the other 3 sets

Thank you for contacting Amazon.co.uk regarding your recent order
First of all, please accept my apologies for this situation.

Normally, in this situation, I would create a replacement order for the missing item right away, to be dispatched to you as soon as possible at no additional charge.

Unfortunately, at the moment, "Pampers Baby Fresh Unscented Baby Wipes" is unavailable from our suppliers and we are unable to send a replacement. Although the item might be available on our website from third party sellers, we are unable to source items from them. However, we will be happy to issue a full refund for this order.

Therefore, I've requested a refund of 14.97 GBP to your payment card. This refund should go through within the next few days and will appear as a credit on your next card statement.

On the date the refund is completed, we'll send you an e-mail message confirming the date, amount and payment details. Completed refunds information can also be viewed when you visit "Your Account". Under "Orders" click the "Your Orders" button, and sign in with your e-mail address and password. On the left side of the order you choose, select "View Order Details". Completed returns and refunds will appear at the bottom of the individual order's summary page.

Perhaps you could check our website from time to time to see if this item has come back in stock or if it is available from a third-party seller through Amazon.co.uk Marketplace. Please note we are unable to source products from Third Party sellers and we are also unable to exchange items for a different product.

If you have any further questions please contact us quoting the relevant order number at the following URL:

just recieved my order, got straight on the phone to amazon to complain about lack of wipes. very apologetic, they told me to keep hold of the wipes and confirmed my refund (1-2 days to appear) there and then. seems strange that some people are having to return them & others to keep them.
  • Also received just 4 packs today, just got off the phone to them. I can keep the wipes and have been refunded :j

mine haven't even arrived yet - tracking says they're in Milton Keynes!?! (& due on Wednesday)
Smile and be happy, things can usually get worse!
  • I was on the phone to Amazon for 26 minutes but finally got a full refund and told to keep the 24 packets of wipes that arrived - a very lovely Christmas bonus with an 9 month old baby in the house!

Thanks to all who blazed this particular trail :D

Not happy. Just got off the phone to Amazon (after being held in a very long queue) to be told that I have to return the wipes and pay for return postage costs myself until they receive them back again. 8 packs of wipes are quite heavy and are going to cost quite a bit to retur. I was told it would be around 2 weeks before I then get my refund for the items and the P&P. I'm staying away from Amazon in future.

Thanks guys, i've also just got off the phone to them (good thing it was a free phone number!) and lovely lady apologised, refunded me (was told i would receive it in 2-3 days) and told me as it was their mistake and i could keep the wipes. Very happy with their customer services. :)

Sorry to hear that. That's not fair, telling us one thing and you another. Is it worth calling again and maybe getting a different adviser who will hopefully refund you and do the 'goodwill' thing and letting you keep them? They can't expect you to post it back surely! It's their mistake to make us think we were going to get 16packs. Did you tell them you were expecting the full 2 lots of 16 wipes?
  • Today I received 4 x 4 packs instead of 4 x 16 packs I was expecting.

Called the 0800 number and the adviser initially said I had to return the packs for a refund but after admitting that the error was there's I was finally offered the refund and keep the wipes option, refund due within 3 days.

    Thanks OP:j:beer:
