Aw thanks HH and thanks everyone. I am determined to enjoy my next chapter, but not going to be silly again and get myself into debt, and OH is on board with that too.

Your one pearl of wisdom. - It's easy to be overwhelmed by the size of your debt and think that saving a few pence on buying a cheaper tin of beans isn't going to make much difference. But get into the habit of saving a few pence on everything, and it makes a huge difference.

My final loan payment was taken today and final credit card payment a couple of days ago!
Lightbulb moment was in Nov 2007, when debts were around £18000.
Debt free date 01 Dec 2015!!
I worked hard and read a lot of threads on here whilst still managing to have a life I enjoyed.
Its on to mortgage free next - long way off tho! - my favourite thread for that inspiration is the one by Secret Saving Squirrel, its a good read..
But thanks to everyone thats posts on here, I am not sure whether I would be in this position today if i had not found this site a few years ago!
