I will be adding my name on to here in December... not quite yet though as payment will go out in the middle of December.

Will finally be credit card free... next step is the mortgage (whilst building up a nice little emergency fund and savings pot).
    :)

Destroying debt demons is quite addictive... and also, strangely, a bit fun.

Should prob add me to the list, paid off the final washing machine credit this month, lightbulb moment was 2006 and debt was £23000, managed to get £8000 written off (£800 CapitalOne& rest BOS unsecured loan) I've lived abroad, travelled and also been out of work sick over them years and now debt free on all with a part time wage and being a complete and utter tight !!! lol

Currently have £1700 saved in my 5% TSB Current A/C, Direct Debits down to £15 a month for EE data, Virgin Unlimited £5 sim and Sky (free) broadband.

I stopped drinking wine 18 months ago, every other month a buy a bottle of the Jack Daniels, stopped smoking American Spirit tobacco 2 years ago almost (35grams is £12 compared to £8 day a pack and is chemical and additive free -which made quitting so much easier)

Currently suing a government dept for £25,000 (will use as a housedeposit/Spain home purcahse) for their refusal to pay me as owed + whatever court awards as compensation and away to possibly finish my law degree as being debt free I can afford to be a student again :D

18 months ago I had to give up soya, wheat, dairy, eggs... so home cooking became the way forward and as expensive as it can be for certain things it defo pays to not buy processed/ready made foods.

Off to London this week for a few days as a treat to myself, only £50 to pay left on hotel, trains etc all paid in advance 3 months ago as I knew I was debt free Dec!

Considering if to start a different degree and just buy a property in Spain for in a few years or so when I finish the new degree so I never need a mortgage, why get debt free to take a mortgage debt out afterall!

For anyone who think it cant be done, it can, even on a part time wage, and I mean not far off minimum wage over all the years. You just got to focus and be strong and not give into temptation - something as simple as using a relatives credit card account only for your use - for emergencies, you dont use the card except emergencies because its not technically yours.
SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe ;)

Thanks :D strange thing is I thought I would be really excited, i'm not - my brain is too focused on a debt free life and has pondered to buying a property outright abroad to remain debt free and for the future, plotting and planning rent and mortgage free for life haha

Further to that I dont want to see my direct debits go past £40/50 over 2016/17 whilst buying and renovating a property, on and up as they well say....thanks MSE for my new wee badge, actually made me a little bit excited and proud :rotfl: that if I can do it with everything against me, anybody can, good luck those ongoing and jumping in, just remember like anything in life there are ups and downs, dont get upset, evaluate and recalculate and start again with your new sum, stress and tears (if you get that far) do not pay bills... so why bother ?

Proactive over reactive and reactive (financially) where needs be (also teaches you to handle life better)

    Love to you all Xx
