Doingmybest - great hampers:T, I'm sure they will go down well.Idid my boys a similar one with hot choccie, marshmallows, flakes etc one year and they loved it. I got a few idividual sachets of different types of hot coccie everytime I went shopping and it soon mounted up.

Yes, I've included those sorts of things too. He really likes the marshmallows from Aldi; he says they taste like vanilla ice cream. I've got flakes, maltesers, sprinklies, squirty cream, various sachets, a variety of jars of drinking/hot chocolate, evaporated milk, wafers, Mikados, Camp coffee (for his adored coffee milkshake!) lime, cherry & vanilla milk shakes & one of his most favouritest ........... rose syrup! Plus anything else I've fogotten.

What time is the hen night getting under way? My cheese straws are cooling on the rack & the sloe gin is chilling. My kazooes & blow ticklers are at the ready. I'm hoping if we get underway soon I won't have to cook!!
  • NPM have a lovely wedding tomorrow and I wish you both all the best.

Well British Gas came out and fixed the boiler!!! :j:j Not what I was expecting, but apparently the expansion valve/tank (??) was full of water rather than air, so he blew the water out, and re-filled it with air. So far, it's working, so I have heating. Typically, this happened just as I had returned home from buying 2 small halogen heaters....

I also managed to get a bag of rock salt so have gritted the entire area outside the house and all of the neighbours houses. Hopefully, it'll stop me going a over t next time I walk the dog, and make driving into where we live a bit easier and safer for everyone. It also ensures that my dad has no excuse to get to the hospital tomorrow :rotfl:

Have a good night everyone :)

    T xx

Happy Birthday to Bramble and also Polly's DD.

Apologies for being AWOL for a couple of days - I've been frantically cleaning up woodworking dust!:D

May I join the party to give NPM a good send-off? If we're doing costume, I have my best Witch outfit - complete with broomstick (the one I used for my handfasting!) and pointy hat! I also come bearing a portable redring and saucepan, red wine and mulling spices, plus HM quiche.:D

    Evening All!

Had a long, busy day today, wasn't helped by the fact that I woke up thinking it was Thursday! :o

Took my car in to be fixed this morning, cost me nothing, handy having an Uncle in the car trade!
I've just logged onto my internet banking account and was pleasantly surprised at how much was in there so can finish off my Christmas shopping before payday. So I'll have a look around Amazon and Play later for some bargains.

OH is still not home from work. He's been working for his companies bigger sister company this week and hasn't been finishing until much later than normal. When he gets in we'll have mince for tea.

Things are moving forward with the house, we have a solicitor, the mortgage seems to be going through (although a little slowly for my liking!) so we could be in our new home in January or February! Scary but exciting!

Lots of ramblings there, sorry folks, clearly I've got a lot going round in my head at the moment. :D:p

    Have a great evening all!

Oh and I hope you have a fabulous day tomorrow NPM, all the best! :):):)

    Evening everyone

I'm up for the Hen Night too, provided you don't mind me knitting and watching The Apprentice at the same time.:o I have just made some teacakes so they are cooling nicely.

So very pleased that NPM's M&D were on the train, and hopefully have arrived by now. Hoping everything goes well tomorrow, and you your OH have many happy years together.

H-H. how lovely, typical though someone who really hasn't a lot to spare can find the time and the money for the wool, while loads of others who work with her could easily have just bought one and not missed it.

Bitsy enjoy your proud M&D moment.

((hugs)) all round and those MIA too. DG

    Evening all

Happy Birthday to Bramble and Pollys DD

NPM All the very best for tomorrow, we will all be with you in spirit if not in person - What time is the actual ceremony

OK I have my sloe gin too, seeing that seems to be the favoured drink for the hen night and I have hm mince pies too. (Not too sure if they go together really but we shall see!)

OS today has merely been washing and drying on the airers whilst out at work. Tea was a hm casserole from the freezer as I am still trying to use things up to make space.

Just been watching Corrie and was getting really enthralled when it went off mid episode not sure if it was just local to us or not - how frustrating!

I've treated myself to a Baileys in honour of NPM and the future Mr NPM. Wishing you a long and happy married life together, and may you be poor in misfortunes but rich in blessings.
