Can I come to the hen night please. I can bring Bailey's ice cream and some vodka. I haven't been posting much because I'm tired. Grumpy the house elf has been getting up at 4am again. He was fine all through the summer, and he still goes to bed like a dream and sleeps soundly - he just gets up too early for me.
I need to wrap some of his presents today. My bedroom looks untidy because all the things that normally live in the ottoman are scattered around my bedroom. The christmas presents are in the ottoman. I can hide them somewhere else if they're wrapped up.
Take care all of you.0 -

Morning all
Sunnyday - good to hear that you have caught up on some sleep
esmf - sorry to hear you are having such a difficult time at the moment, my work involves supporting children in school and routine is so important to our children especially this time of year. Good luck with the referral.
Up early today. It's DD Birthday but for the first time ever we won't see her as she is at Uni. She has a lot planned though and should have a lovely time.
The Christmas Elf had visited DS3 and DS1 and 2 are waiting for him to discover what he's left because they have already noticed it is a chocolate treat to share.:)
Planning on going into town today for a while to get a few hopefully last things.
Take care everyone

sunnday, good luck with the car!
Another very frosty day outside and another long day for me(handing in one assignment after my lecture then working on another until... it's finished!). I reluctantly put all my warm clothes, long socks, lounge clothes etc in a big wash last night so have spent most of the morning so far scrambling around looking for socks! Might have to pinch some of OH's
The photos from the work xmas do are around and I don't look my best, put on a few lbs and my cheeks gget chubby then droop like a bull dogI know two weeks before Christmas isn't the best time to start slimming but Christmas can be my day off
Turning the chicken carcass into soup for dinner I think, hopefully I'll have time to whip up some rolls to go wtih it. I could ask OH, now he's trained in the art of kneading :eek:Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0 -

It is at 11am but At Bedford hospital so quite a journey then trying to find somewhere to park. There is a park and ride but my legs are too dodgy to get on and off of buses.
I hope everyone is keeping safe and warm xBlessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

Morning All
a hen night sounds fab, I haven't been out of the house for days due to the weather so it will be a real treat. I can bring hm wine, cheese and oatcakes. (Sorry, I have eaten all the crisps!).
Hester, I had a very emotional moment reading about your gift, that's so kind.
esmf - chin up and big hugs.
Moilliere - glad your BIL is managing to relax, thoughts still with you all.
Well, another enforced day off here, school closed but staff should go in if it is safe to do so. It's not safe. Head Teacher got a message to us all that we have to stay put. Not sure how it's not safe for the children to come a short distance but the staff can travel for miles!
Must try to go out sometime today as I need to get to the post office. Could do with trying to get to the sorting office too as DS1 still doesn't have his car tax.
Left the heating on last night as when I went for a bath the flannel I had used earlier had frozen round the side of the bath!! Got up this morning and the taps in the kitchen were frozen. That proves that the heating is carp and shall just leave the oil filled rads on instead. Hens fed, they are really struggling now, I have to take them warm mash out about 3 times a day and keep giving them warm water as it keeps freezing.
Onwards chaps, hope you have a good day, stay safe. XX0 -
