i have a feeling that my boyfriend is getting me a expensive gift (our fist xmas) tho i did warn him and say no more then 50 pound. i work part time and have my brother to get for (i still do xmas for him like he was a little kid coz he is disabled and dosnt know any better) any way i have a feeling that he has spent a lot of money on me and there is just no way i can afford to keep up. id feel mega guilty if he has i dont know what to do... i also have afeeling his mum has got me something quite expensive.....
You come across as a very sensible and grounded person. I imagine you are with someone similar. If he wants to make a fuss of you at xmas and spoil you just enjoy it. Dont focus on what a gift costs but on what it means to you and treasure it.0 -
Have now read all this thread, congrats on the ring. Bet you are thrilled.0

More congratulations. And the best bit? He still has to buy you a christmas present - even if it's just some slippers or something little to unwrap.
Mr Emmylou has been "struggling" (bless him) with what to get me - so I've sent him the world's longest wish list. And told him that I don't want everything on it all at once, I'll keep it updated and he can use it for birthdays/christmases/just because for the foreseeable future...We may not have it all together, but together we have it all
