I was a bit concerned that day three wouldnt see me get nothing towards my total but to my suprise a few of my reviews on CIAO had hit off enough to get me over the £5 threshold so I have cashed that in earning £5.14 to add to my total
the day is still young.....
You've inspired me to check Ciao and I'm up to £4.90!! I need to get a few more pennies so I've posted one of the reviews I did this morning on DY on to it - I really don't get ciao thoughhow can I make that extra 10p (got no idea really how I got to £4.90 and I've only been paid once before)!
Today all I did was find a bag of 5ps in my room which I am going to add to and count (they are in a money bag so obviously I was trying to get up to £5 or whatever to take to the bank) but I'll count these. I've written 2 reviews on DY and had a few rates now I'm on 15,680 points (when they aren't pending anymore) well worth getting up to the 20,000 for amazon at least I think but I like to push for the chequeI also did myself some home highlights and I think they look brill. Saved a fair whack not going to the hairdressers too so yey! not sure if I'll count that though because to be honest, I can't actually afford to go to the hairdresser so I wouldn't have gone... I feel better though! I'll sort out the 5ps and get back into focused work mode and then sort out my sig!

Ok well I have just posted my first ever items on ebay, got loads more things but it took me a while to figure out how to do it. They are not worth that much but every penny helps. I also completed some more surveys on toluna so am well on my way towards some vouchers from them. Overall Im quite happy with my progress so far.0

Well, off to a slow start here at the moment. However have been looking at our finances and the year looks more manageable than last year in terms of survival. Had a real case of out with the old and in with the new as far as our car concerned. It died on Christmas eve and we had £500 contingency fund for a new one. Have ended up with a car from a close relative that is 7 yrs newer than our ancient on has hardly any mileage and 12 months tax and MOT. Have paid £500 up front and will pay another £500 later in year. but it is fantastic as it is worth much more than that and we will save on petrol and insurance with this model. we know its been really well looked after and reliable to date. Yay!
Now to just bring a new sofa into our lives!
Will be looking at doing an indoor carboot at the weekend. still have some bits and pieces I bought last January that I will try to get rid of there.
Will probably do some music magpie over the next couple of weeks.
I also have a couple of ideas for slightly later in the year which I will think through some more.
got a part time job last year which I counted but as it is still ongoing I don't think I'll include it this time unless it gets extended beyond august in which case I'll put that down to this years efforts and include anything from September onwards.
Its really great to see everyone getting sooo involved with this.

It's great to see how people are doing and getting ideas. But it would be even more fantastic if the experienced could help out us newbs who are pretty clueless and taking our first steps. I can't help noticing there are a fair amount of unanswered questions on this thread, ignore mine I've asked in the tech section, but would like to know the answers to the others. Please with MSE cherrys on top!:)0

I'm only young, under sixteen. However after seeing the value of this website and saving as well as the mess that is our current economic climate I thought saving/making money at a young age would have its benifits. So thought I'd set myself a challenge, as long as I make something this year, I'm not to worried about the £11,000.
Ideally I would of liked to get a job but my age and continuely mounting school work prohibits this really, although I shall give it an even more enthused effort once I reach sixteen.
I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas for what I could do. I've heard about reveiws and surveys and thought they'd be good, although I'm not sure if I'm old enough.
I'm open to suggestions, thank you
How about some of these craft activities? (Another lot of links thanks to JoeyGrey). Then you could perhaps do a craft fare - maybe with an adult family member/friend if you're not old enough to have a stall.
