It should save you a fortune over the year and make your life easier too.
indeed! It was costing too much as well as the hassle of going as its on the other side of town. We were having to pay for parking, the use of the machines (£3 a pop!) plus drying and then going to get a coffee and walking around the shops while the washing was on as my OH and DD cant sit still for long!
Forgot to mention earlier that there is a website that pays up to £4.50 for old 'virgin' ink cartridges -

Hi
I was thinking about doing some mystery shopping to help build up my total. I have no experience when it comes to this so if anyone can give me any advice or quidance on which companies are best to start with it would be much appreciated0 -
Anyone bought from a wholesaler before?
I've been pondering this today. I would only buy from UK wholesalers as a beginner, I have probably been lucky that every venture I've made into this territory has been successful. But I was just wondering, if it were a UK company, if you paid by credit card and it was over £100 would you be covered in the normal way? Does anyone know who could advise? Would it have to be a business credit card (is there even such a thing?) If there was then there would at least be a bit of a safety net. Sorry this post is pretty much just me thinking out loud!0 -
Can I ask something? At the moment much of my personal challenge is about saving cash as I have mentioned in my other posts with my only real opportunity to make extra money being by decluttering and selling my personal items on Ebay (maybe amazon and greenmetropolis).
I see a lot of people saying they hope to make their cash by buying things to sell, or buying things to make craft items to sell - jewelry, cushions, cards and the like. I haven't looked at this at all as its completely new to me so I am curious to know what you are allowed to do before you become a business and have to look at tax and things? Does anyone have any pointers?
PS Really like the look of the Folksy site - somelovely itmes and tutorials on there. Thanks for posting.Boots Card - £17.53, Nectar Points - £15.06 - *Saving for Chrimbo*2015 Savings Fund - £2575.000 -

Hi all,
First of all i would like to say well done to everyone that has participated so far and is underway.
Ive managed to get off to a flying start due to luck and generosity rather than business acumen.
Me and my fiancee are moving into our new build home this March and our families have been really generous and on new year they gave us £290.00 which was really nice of them. so were putting that towards this challenge.
I had a couple of online focus tasks at the end of last year they paid out and i recieved the cheques over the christmas period which combined totalled £145.00, i managed to Bank on News Years eve so im going to cheat a little and put them towards this years challenge total.
Yesterday i also cashed out my September, October, November and December Survey earnings as im a member of numerous sites and they totalled £334.78, i havnt recieved the actual money for all of them yet, but as they are on their way and i requested them yesterday its easier if i add them now and keep track of their arrival.
(All of the above are totals after tax has been deducted)
I requested the payment of £30.00 in vouchers from Consumer Pulse and those are on their way so i think i will include them in my total.
Ive also cashed out £24.90 from Topcashback which i cashed out yesterday and ive recieved £75.02 from my mystery shopping which i waited for all over christmas, and ive done another mystery shop today for £7.00.
Ive cashed out my money form various bingo sites that im a member of, i only ever play the free games and build up a small but steady stream of income and that totalled £30.00
Over the new year (after much caution, research and time) had a dabble at matched betting and managed to make £56.00
Today ive squirreled away £1.25 in my sealed pot (which is 3/4 full from me last year, i cant wait until its full and i can smash it open with a hammer and count it all up) so im going to start running a seperate total so i know how much ive saved this year from it, when i open it i will add the difference in a lump sum total so i dont double count.
I think although im off to a good start things will get alot tougher as i have to build my survey totals back up and really work hard, i have a full time job as a trainee solicitor but still dabble in all the above after that.
For future earnings i will continue in all the above and i think i will try ebay, i won a decent satnav at work and as i dont drive i can feel an e-bay listing coming on, i also have various other items to list, but think i will wait for a free listing weekend even if it is only afew pennies saved, its better than nothing.
I also am going to list all my CD's i don't listen to on Music Magie and recycle a couple of very old phones that cant be worth more than £2.00 each.
Will keep you ll updated, well done again everyone :-)£8,452.67 / £11,000.00 Challenge :j0 -

Firstly, let me apologise in advance for any mistakes I may make regarding money saving.
I'm only young, under sixteen. However after seeing the value of this website and saving as well as the mess that is our current economic climate I thought saving/making money at a young age would have its benifits. So thought I'd set myself a challenge, as long as I make something this year, I'm not to worried about the £11,000.
Ideally I would of liked to get a job but my age and continuely mounting school work prohibits this really, although I shall give it an even more enthused effort once I reach sixteen.
I was just wondering if anybody had any ideas for what I could do. I've heard about reveiws and surveys and thought they'd be good, although I'm not sure if I'm old enough.
I'm open to suggestions, thank youMum is the heartbeat of the home.:happylove0
