Morning all, Cornishfarmer here on a lovely and hopefully sunny day.
What is stopping me from making money?
Well, it didn't take too long to think about the answer to this question. I'm just soooo unorganized that everytime i think of a good idea it takes so long to find everything that i've forgotten what i was going to do in the first place.:o
So, my goal is; to make some (about 10) rag dolls and sell them on Folksy.
My plan is this;
Sort through all my fabric and craft stuff and put it into one room only, not in every room of the house as it is now!
Cut, sew and stuff every day, even if it is only for 30 minutes.
And most importantly, TIDY-UP when i've finished.:D
I am going to set my target date to complete this challenge as Easter. :T
Wish me luck as i'm off to rumage through the dinning room cupboards to see what i can find:rotfl:
Good luck to everyone with their mini-challenges, we'll soon be back on track to making those pounds.:)RememberGOALS need PLANS need ACTIONS0 -
Arrrgg lmao..........I found £5 when I put some hiking trousers on this morning :j:j strange thing is, they'd been through the wash yet this fiver is like crisp and new and very neatly folded and not even slightly washed out  AND I have absolutely NO recollection of putting it there, but then shouldn't be surprised by that these days really
:o:o BUT...............I reeeeeeeeally want to add it to my total BUT I am so skint at the mo I need it for some food for us all
SO can somebody remind me to add £5 when I start getting paid a better wage in a couple of months please???:rotfl::rotfl:
its too chaotic i like routine maybe will go back and find they appreciate me since i was off for 3 weeks maybe they have discovered they dont need me and i'm hated for giving them all extra work .I was off for 18 months and I was sure they all hated me for having to pick up my workload, not many made contact with me in that time either so that fuelled my thoughts they didn't really want me back! I am just returning VERY gradually at the moment and it seems that some aspects of my job have been messed up since I've been off and they are glad that my order is back - well to some extent it's back :rotfl: but even the little skills I have at the mo seem to be making a positive difference
I still feel like a spare part at times because my desk has been taken by somebody else, my resources are all over the place, I'm not in my managing role and I haven't got all my lessons back yet which scares me as some maybe enjoying them and resent giving them up to me lol, but I'm sure I am bringing something positive to the team by taking some hours off their already hectic workloadsHonorary Northern Bird bestowed by AnselmI'm a Board Guide and volunteer to help get your forum questions answered and keep the forum running smoothly on Special Occasions, Green/Ethical, Motoring/Overseas/UK Travel & Flood boards, it's not part of my role to deal with reportable posts. Whoo-hoo! Sold my wedding dress yesterday for £150, which I'm counting as all profit as it was just sitting there doing nothing. I also did some more mystery shopping and cashed out of vivatic at £10 again, although I'll only count them when they hit the bank account.Goal = £9,000 in 2011, starting in March
Current total - £779 banked by 09/04/11
Also growing, scrimping and crafting to not need as much in the first place!0 -
Hi everyone , just popping in to update .
I had a phone call yesterday from a wedding fair organiser who has been let down by the only cake maker at her fair at the weekend , I agreed to step in at the last minute and I get the gig for free :j:j:j
now i have to pull out all the stops to get a stand together from scratch for the weekend
decided i needed a digital photo frame to display all the pictures of my previous cakes , so checked on which magazine (paid a pound for a months trial ) and headed off to jessops to pick up one . Jessops is nearby to mr t , so took a list of pricechecked items with me to give that a go on the way home
I retired ,from what my husband refers to ,as "tesc* terrorism", a few years ago , but it was fun to do it once more , for old times sake :rotfl:
spent £72 and just had an email with a voucher for £66 :T:T:T
also had a dental insurance payout for £20 and quidco £15 this morning .....so I am off to update my total......:DStarted my own business and loving being my own boss
