Elly my mum will be back in about 3 weeks! a lot of the messy stuff is more free flowing than prepared so comes from an evergrowing collection of stuff and inspiration and glue guns etc. not sure I could comfortably translate that to my mums bit! Storage would help a lot but I always seem to have other things to spend our limited money on or I buy it and it doesn't really work the way I intended!lol.
Gradually getting some ideas together about how to deal with it better. so will maybe choose better storage stuff next time. Have just done kids room and that seems to be working well and they are appreciating it so maybe will be enthusiastic about extending it to other rooms. Using the easier rooms as my apprenticeship lol.
MIL has a cafe and photo gallery not sure if it is her open season yet but maybe. Hope King Larrsonn not hanging out the window while you're dancing wildly round those stones elly.lol

is her cafe in kirkwall ,if so will pop in when brians at work however we are going to try and eat in the self catering cottage we are renting to save money we will see .brians work up there is always going to be seasonal as in off season as the bus/lorry drivers are busy during tourist season .
i know what you mean about storage never seem to have enough ,going to work hard at bootys to try and clear the decks then think i am going to see if i can get good at small water colours and frame and punt them at the unsuspecting buyers who knows at antique/craft fairs.
to be honest i think to get good money i will need to invest in more expensive stock lol that will be the dearer items on gumtree and ebay.and see if i can turn a profit .
i would idealy like to get good at painting flowers and then transfer this skill to small pieces of furniture but need to focus and invest the time in learning these skills
So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x

i think the secret is to find something you like i find painting relaxing ,fun but i always play at things but to be honest i'm not looking forward to going back to work ,its too chaotic i like routine maybe will go back and find they appreciate me since i was off for 3 weeks maybe they have discovered they dont need me and i'm hated for giving them all extra work .
maybe i will look into a granny/grandad sitting business for rich people when they want to travel without elderly parents however the kids are too young for me to dissappear for a week .of overnighters lol

And they were happy to pay for the recorded delivery?

I had to send a letter recorded delivery this week.........couldn't believe it was £5!!!:o:o

I didn't give them a choice! So if they wanted the stuff they had to pay the postage I charged. In the end it was cost effective as Ebay are extremely reluctant to reimburse sellers unless they can provide tracking details. I also stipulate that I will only send to the address that is confirmed by PayPal.
It was for me a case of ‘once bitten twice shy.’
If I send abroad, I always use International Signed For.
Maybe for low value items it is worth the risk, but not for anything over £10.

Well had a good night on ebay last night, all 35 items sold for just over £275. Only downside is I need 2 new tyres on my car that are going to be £200 so I'll see what I can add to my total when all of the fees have come off.

Came home from work today to find the vouchers I redeemed had turned up so I have 2 x 2.50 vouchers off pampers nappies, looked on Mr Ts and they have offer on for 2 x packs for £6 so they will only cost me £1 for 64 nappies!! Also recieved my £10 from IPS but not adding anything to total till it's used. Saved another £2 coin and transfered £10 intop savings as used £10 off VO. will update sig at end of week. Need to get motivated as have a food survey to fill out for another £15 but it's so big it's putting me off.
