  • Hello!

Taking it easy has backfired as im really unwell today :( I persevered with the car boot sale today and made £48 which was fab! i hardly spent any money as all i wanted to do was curl up in the boot and go to sleep :o I listed all my unsold dvds and cds onto music magpie (via quidco of course!) and im due another £8.90 from that. My ebay sales for today are £65 so ive had an excellent day! Not bad for someone who should be resting ;) I had two INR cases within 24 hours in the week, mightily unimpressed and im on the verge of having to resort back to sending everything recorded delivery.

elly,i know what you mean about the awful events in japan,it just seems like its one thing after another out there :( Its so sad,my brother in law goes to japan alot as he works for one of the largest companies there and he has lost many colleauges out there.
    ;)

So my eBay listings ended at £110. Not bad. I'm having to charge someone £9.48 postage as they want an item sent abroad, there happy to pay it and they understand that I wont send it non tracked so I suppose I shouldn't feel too bad. Still awaiting payment though.

Completed my shift last night even though im so chocked up with the cold its unbeleiveable. Another £50 at least.

Pamper night tonight, hopefully feel a little more human after a bath!

Oh no, that must have been really disappointing, especially after taking the time to list so many things. I hope they have another free listing day soon.

i may just put them all on now and pay the price

I have had a small ebay business for 3 years selling a variety of things, and ebay is so slow at the moment. For the first time I have had 8 items go missing in the post. So although you think that sellers are scamming buyers maybe buyers are scamming sellers???? Don't tar sellers with the same brush, there are lots of genuine people out there as there are lots of genuine buyers. :)

Sorry misread your posting...having a bad day.
LOL you're the perfect example of what I meant then! :( I've been a victim of a swap that didn't complete, so know what it feels like, it's not nice being cheated

Maybe I'll try some low value items and see how it goes, if not good then switch to car boot *still shuddering at the thought*

Made nothing so far this month, mainly on account that work has increased and I have waaaaaaaaaay less time to do anything extra :(

I'm starting to wonder if buyers are not taking the pish at the mo on Ebay?? I'm seeing more and more reports about buyers saying their parcels have not turned up, do you think people are scamming sellers? I'm worried about the lack of sales but also what seems to be an increase in goods 'disappearing', because I have tons to sell here but if Ebay is being dodgy then I'll have to do a car boot sale instead *shudders at the memories from before*:eek::(

Although it is more time-consuming and expensive, it is best to send everything by a trackable servive such as Recorded Delivery.
I ran a small business on Ebay for a few years and became very cynical about the number of buyers who claimed their item hadn't turned up.
Never heard from any of them again when I informed them that their signature could be viewed on the Royal Mail website.
Actually, very few items were 'lost in the post'.
There is always going to be a few that will try it on if they can.

Sounds like special delivery. Recorded delivery is only 74p ontop of normal posting charges. Or maybe your letter was extremely heavy lol.

OOOO it could well have been!! Ah if that's all for recorded delivery it's worth it then if there's a trend of scamming :T:T

    MINI CHALLENGE :D

    Lets start easy

1.Make a list of whats stopping you from making money, time, energy (lack of lol) capital, ect
2.Look at the list and see if there is any you can resolve
3.Set a time limit that is reasonable to complete if you make it unreasonable you will fail this is about boosting confidence not crushing it further.
4.let us all know wheter success or not as we may come up with a way round it that you didnt we are here to help .

    So heres mine

Household budget supposed to have cut down to £100 a week this includes dinner money, pocket money not fuel though lol

I like to bootsale but dd piano lessons have been moved to Sat so not good ,however cheap booty is on Sundays however Saturday night is when we sometimes have a little drink arghhhhh

    PLAN
1.stop throwing food away i have slid back into not using the fresh, fruit veg first .So apart from butchers tomorrow I am buying no more food this week until Friday .
    2. admit to self that although i prefer indoor sat market for booty cost of fuel is just not worth it leave dd piano lesson on saturday have occasional alcohol on fridays as can walk to piano but cannot walk to bootsale lol
3 complete bootsale not this weekend as i am in orkney whohooo so i will do two sundays in a row to make some spends for ireland trip so completion needs to be 8/4/11

    NOW YOU TRY :rotfl:
So finally debt free and it feels amazing however continuing here to stay debt free.Next declutter house and body and finally swim under that waterfall x
