Congrats SSN :j
Oh and I have been ten pin bowling today for my birthday and have a loyalty card from our local newpaper which gives us unlimited games for £6 each person between 12 and 6pm (I think). We had 5 games! Got baguettes from sandwich shop to eat in the car after so whole outing cost less than £20 and it was lovely spending time just the 2 of us, although eldest ds will be jealous as he likes bowling too
Going out tonight for a carvery which is only £4.50 a head and taking kids with us and oh's parents are coming too so will nice evening. Have already budgetted for it so feels good.0 -
While I was rooting around for things to sell earlier, I found a couple of books that I thought might fetch something on Amazon. Apparently not - they're selling for 1p on Amazon Marketplace! So I put them back on the bookshelf
Amazon is a strange beast.
I used to play the 1p game but stopped that a while back. If there are pages of the things selling at 1p then I either keep the book or give it to charity.
If there are only a handful at 1p then I put it to sell at what I consider reasonable, my minimum is £1. I then leave it there and forget about it - most of my books have sold this way (may take months and months though) even though there are 1p alternatives on the site. Having said that I never sell 'best seller' type books - normally sf, reference & business.“This isn't life in the fast lane, it's life in the oncoming traffic.” - Terry PratchettDebt Target - £0 Target Date - January 2015eo 07/13 - £23,080 eo 08/13 - £21,084 eo 09/13 - £20,347 eo 10/13 - £19,5550 -
