Good to see everyone's doing so well! Very inspiringI've just got to hope and pray that Greasypalm pay up! I had a successful payment of £35 from them a couple of years ago, but I've recently read some negative reviews and I don't know how willing they'd be to pay out if it involves a 3-figure sum! Fingers crossed... Anyone got any reassuring success stories about Greasypalm to share?0

Hi all,
So I doing something a little crazy. I'm quitting my job to become a genealogist. Bit of a change of pace - I travelled 100,000 miles last year as a stressed, appreciated-by-clients-but-not-by-employer software trainer!
I'm joining the challenge since I want to set myself a realistic target for the year and £11,000 is a good starting point. From now I plan to make my money from:
+ family trees and family history reports (sold via my new website which I am busy building and which will be live next week)
+ in person, phone and skype family history coaching (per hour rate that will be advertised online and locally)
+ offering per hour historical research
+ local workshops and courses in building family trees/getting started (I still get a real kick out of training)
+ selling ebooks about genealogy and my local area
+ Amazon Affliates and Ancestry.com's affliate scheme
+ selling via ebay, crafting for etsy, bingo, matched betting, mystery shopping, surveys
+ possibly getting my kitchen certified and then selling vegan goodies at my local farmers' market
+ anything else legit that will help me stay out of an office for good!
I'm half terrified, half whirling in glee. I hand my notice (and laptop, BlackBerry, keys etc) in on Friday. Very next thing I am doing is going to my bank and cashing in a over-payment cheque from Yorkshire Water - to count for March's total.
Wish me luck (I do all my own stunts),

^ Wow! Sounds amazing. Good luck
So far I've got a couple of bids on ebay, and a few watchers. Only problem is, I've never used ebay/paypal to sell things before and it just dawned on me that perhaps you have to have a certain amount of money in your paypal account to be able to withdraw it? Is this the case?0
