I'm in for this. I keep talking about it, but this time I am going to do it. I have also read the secret, watched the DVD and listened to the CD! I am going to put it into practice.
Instead of focusing on clearing my debts, I will focus on making money.
Instead of focusing on de-cluttering my house, I will focus on a tidy house.
Here is to a brilliant 2011.0 -
Hi All
Just completed my first couple of listings on Ebay, mind you DH still laughing at my optimism for listing two old fitness videos but I reckon I was going to chuck them so its easy enough to put that off for a few days to see if they sell first. Going to tackle the wardrobe next:(
I'm thinking about getting rid of some gold I never wear and don't really like it but it was 18 and 21st birthday presents so would have a bit of a guilt involved although DD has said she definitely doesn't want it :rotfl:
Loved Mirry's quote "If you always do what you've done,
You will always get what you've got" :TMake 11k in 2011 422.29/11,000;)0 -
Thanks tutti , I might search through my old jewellery , whats the point of keeping stuff you dont wear or use.
Had a fab time last night at tescos, all the meat was being reduced down to silly prices , £6 - 55p
2.50 - 50p , and it all had another day left on it.
I got lots and saved £78 and filled up my freezer, lol.Kindness costs nothing0 -
I was an utter fail last year, didn't even attempt to do this due to depression and all sorts of other stuff but have a bit more of a positive attitude this year so I'm up for giving it a second go! If I even get a quarter of the target I'll be happy, but I'll aim for the stars anyway. :cool:0

OK guys, count me in. I am going to aim for £11,000.
I plan to include anything I can make or save including:
Monthly payments to my savings accounts.
Repayments to my account from a loan that a friend is repaying me.
Personal items sold on ebay (loads of books, clothes and bits to clear).
I'll do a carboot with my sister in the summer as well.
Declutter my house to do the previous two things.
Look to move utilities/services to make any savings and count saving.
Shop throughout the year for birthday/christmas presents at the best price available and count saving.
Look to reduce my food shopping budget.
Use up my toiletry mountain before buying anything else!!
Use vouchers/coupons where I can and count saving.
Save and bank £2.00 coins.
Save and bank 50p coins.
Squirrel away any loose change and bank.
Move the interest on any of my acounts to my savings (no matter how small).
The point of reducing my food and non food spend is I hope to increase my savings amount further. I'm sure I will think of more as this thread develops.
Good luck all.Boots Card - £17.53, Nectar Points - £15.06 - *Saving for Chrimbo*2015 Savings Fund - £2575.000 -
Count me in! This year has been a total nightmare and ive had to run up debt (and been left with a lot from my ex which he refuses to pay back) and i really want to have at least one credit card paid off by the end of 2011! Already made a start and am about to sell an old mobile so that will be my first step! Got a pile of Friends DVDs to get rid of (altho they're only going for 30p on MM at the moment)
Ive got a busy year ahead of me but its time to take a hold of my debts and clear them asap!!
Good luck everyone and a Happy New Year!! :beer:Time to get things sorted once and for all......0 -
Very rarely do I join in with these but as I believe it is good to have a target I think I will join in this time.
Good luck to all those who are doing it.
GOne day some company will do what they say they will do and charge a fair charge.:T
Not doing the opposite of that which they promise and charge you a fortune for the privileged.
Or maybe not:mad:0 -
