I have joined a survey and a bingo site, started a sealed pot and have been thinking of things to sell on ebay. I made some home made gifts his year for christmas and really want to carry this on. I would like to learn how to knit so i can do a better rnge of pezzies and not just fudge lol. Any one any ideas of a knitting and sewing type course?
Looking forward to new ventures

Hi zangels, if you pop into your local wool shop I am sure they will put you in the right direction of knitting lessons, as these are becoming more popular. If they cant help you contact your local womans rural institute and ask if they know of anyone who would be willing to help you, as many of these ladies are great crafts people willing to help anyone. There is also a knitting thread on Oldstyle Moneysaving forum and if you have any questions these kind people will help you out. good luck.

Gave this a go last year and only lasted 1 month ,lol.

However , now I have more time on my hands :D.

£11,000 seems a crazy amount but I heard a radio advert the other day that said ....

"If you always do what you've done,
You will always get what you've got"

    :j.
    Kindness costs nothing :)
  • David, I did a bit of googling nothing came up for free listings on ebay but I am sure something will come up soon.

So happy to see so many new faces and old faces joining the challenge! Even though the target is high as many have mentioned at least aiming high is better than no aim at all, and you have to give yourself a chance you really don't know how well you will do until you give it a try.

I am happy that I made over £3000 cash money, and had a website valuation that made me happy in terms of what I have achieved brand wise. Over Christmas I received £270 cash, by the time I add in the stuff that I have for music magpie, and things to ebay already close to £500 in the first month.

So, view the challenge in bitesize chunks and you will make it! Don't feel put off feel insipired, if you only make £100, it is still £100 more than if you had done nothing.

I had a very lazy week so my to do list is (being xmas and all):
    • Junk sorting and ebay listing
    • Start research for projects 2011
    • Review mini business plans
I would advise if you are looking for motivation for any of your goals for this challenge or in general, it is probably worth visiting the following sites:

    http://www.stevepavlina.com/
    http://www.markforster.net/ (great for time management)

Hope that some of my rambling helped... can't wait for the new year to begin!

  • I am not having such high targets as others, I am going for the 11k but my main aim first and foremost is to get rid of my £600 overspend at xmas straight away. Gonna have a good first few days I think and have some cash coming in the first few weeks of the month but mid January will be slow for me. Ill share all my tips of course and hope to earn some adivce from others
