hi boomdocker, we all just put down 11k with it being 2011, i've no doubt some will reach it but for others its an unachievable amount just as the 10k was. in the early days of the old challenge we all had numbers but when we split into the dribblers thread the numbers and structure werent as important as the support and banter so we just kept note of our own achievements as it's a big ask for someone to keep tabs on everything when we are all soooooooo busy making money! Every now and again we threw up our own mini challenges like make £200 by the end of this month, list 20 things on ebay by Sunday etc and you just came back and marked it off and updated when it was done. It was all about doing whatever extra you could to get extra "income" rather than saving money, we all saved money along the way too as we were more aware of spending but didnt count that in our totals as such as it was about upping your income rather than saving. Even although many of us spent it along the way on one thing or another we still kept a running total of our extra earnings, feel free to ask any more questions

  • Hi guys

I've had a few days of relaxing lol (think xmas dinner for 18!) so i'm raring to go for this challenge. Just booked a couple of MS to do over the next couple of days - 1 includes a meal out so that will be nice :0)

Just working up the enthusiasm to start listing things into turbo lister so i can have listings going throughout the month - it's just sooooo boring tho....... might have to raid the choccies whilst i'm doing it - diet doesn't start till the new year

    have fun :rotfl:

I'm in, but mainly because in the next few months I believe I'll need this money.

As a student I get a free grant which I'll include. and I've also applied for other bursaries which I hope to get for the remaining months I have left at uni.

I can start using ebay and gumtree to get rid of some items I have of value. A good guitar and amplifier are on the cards and maybe some of my good shoes that I simply don't wear - aquick repair job at the cobblers and these would be loved.

This summer I might be able to get a temporary job before I start my new contract job in August.

I'll also sell of my university books in a few months to students in younger years than me.

    These are a start anyway!

yey im of about to get my first £40 for the pot, thanks to selling some nappies, DD has decided just before she turned 2 not to want to wear nappies anymore and got herself potty trained in a day and we noticed this week we are putting nappies on her at night and she is staying dry, so no need for them now, and due to having to have mass nappies sent out to cyprus from boots ive just managed to make my first amount. Im a very happy lady, no nappy expense and a start to the challenge
back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed
  • I'll join in too, the OH and I are hoping to get married this year so having the support to save will really help. At the moment I'm trying to convince him to buy the engagement ring before the VAT increase...

I've got loads of uni books sitting in the loft so will sell these then go through my clothes and shoes (:(). I'll also add in my survey earnings and dribble my way to that target.
Dribbling my way to £11k... so far £653.69/£11000
