    Hi Guys,
I HAVE UPDATED MY TOTAL AT LAST!!
    Wait for it . . . (drumroll) . . . .
    £820
Pretty good to say I havent been well and didnt start challenge till late.
It is made up of the following.
-£140 refunded from halifax, dispute goes back nearly 2 years when they very unfairly took charges from me (I was unconscious at the time lets say!).
-£25 transferred from old accounts, literally pennies in some of them, but all better off in current account
    - £15 for selling something on gumtree
    -£20 amazon sale
    - £2.40 local scrap metal
    -£20 off dad
    - £81 mystery shopping
    - £80 earnt in casual work I started last week
    - £437 refunded I was owed from a company - cant go into too much detail as people I know use these boards and want to remain anonymous, saying what it is might identify me.

I have another mystery shop for next monday. Looking towards March, I am aiming to do more mystery shopping when possible, continue to casual work, have few items to ebay/amazon. Maybe for spring I will look into matched betting.

I really enjoy reading your posts daily, I find it really motivating.
  • Evening all!

Ive had an insane 24 hours, ive spent most of the day waiting to hear if my close friends in christchurch are ok and im pleased to say they are :) Ive had lots of ebay sales and lots more folksy sales! One of my designs is completely sold out now! :D whoever it was that reccomended folksy to me,thank you so much! :j

ive aquired some mills and boon books - i can safely say they are not my kind of thing  - so on amazon they go! ive had a nice £25 888 ladies win,too so i need to withdraw that too.

I spent most of yesterday applying for perminant jobs,so fingers crossed...!

didnt help hadnt closed boot so light had drained it my brother came to my rescue ,been up all night so could have done without it .ollie is home ?suspected egg allergy poor kid cant have dairy as it is and what with brian being wheat gluten free i think its time to give up on being catholic and we should join the wee frees lol
Hi elly, are you pretty sorted with the wheat/gluten free thing?? If not, this was quite a useful thread for breads, and general info. Is he coeliac at all or intolerant? If the latter, changing to spelt products may help and will help the rest of the family too :)

As for your son and dairy/egg allergies you could try out vegan recipes, very easy and extremely yummy, I can now even make eggless Yorkies which I never thought would be possible - he won't miss out and it will also be great for the rest of the family too, no need to seperate anybody ;)

Evening all, well i'm all moved and settling in, and thankfully the internets working pretty quick wich is good for cyprus. We managed to sell the scooter yesterday so have another £250 in the pot and also got anoather £5 for some school uniform that noah cant use any more so that went straight in the tin as well, wich is pretty good for me as usually i would just spend it. So my total is now somewhere over £800 wich im very happy with.

Also had some more good news today as my solicitor got in touch regarding a car crash i was in 18 months ago and the other party have agreed a figure to settle. So as long as they do settle and dont backtrack then i will have a huge chunk coming towards my total. will put that in the ISA though rather than the tin. But when we go home for a visit in july I'll be banking the tins amount as well.

Of now to do some more bingo and try and get them totals up.
back to comping in 2017, fingers crossed

I've lost a days pay because last month I had a day off work sick, and they didn't take it out that months pay so they're taking it out of this months :( I also spent £30 getting my laptop reapired yesterday and £20 on a meal whilst waiting for my laptop to be fixed. Annnnd I also bought £35 worth of presents for the year. :( Bad week, it has been.
  • I have just stumbled on this thread...........I have such admiration for you all!!!!!

For those of you interested in music, I have collated a list of CD singles that are very collectable on Ebay.........I have made a bit of cash by scouring the carboot sales and charity shops to source these and then selling them on at a profit. Like most things it can be done but takes an awful lot of patience!! If anyone has anything to add to this then I would be interested to hear from you.

I'm also quite an experienced ebayer but have yet to find a regular source of anything to sell. I know it inside out really and would love to do this full time.

This thread has inspired me and who knows maybe I can find something!!!!:j

Well I've listed a couple of books on Green Metropolis so fingers crossed! And I've also done another mystery shop tonight........that's the 3rd so far but no payment as yet, they take ages!! I think we've just about got away without a huge vet bill as our cat is starting to heal better now after his EPIC fight :T And I've also been approached for a potential project, but not sure how the heck I'd fit it in with the new contract at work - guess I'll just have to work, work, work and never do anything else ever again! :rotfl:

    Morning all!

Lea,whats the problem with paypal? I may be able to help you as unfortunatly paypal have messed me around over the last few years on several occasions.

    Hi Skint!

Oh just real stupidity tbh, like keeping a payment on hold for over 22 days with no explanation of why, not letting me withdraw any money at one point, and then telling me i have to verify my account(something i'd done and dusted over 3 years ago!!) When i chase them they always, without fail come back and say theres nothing wrong, but they have then fixed the problem!!??
I get the impression that they like taking peoples money and then giving loads of non-valid reasons as to why you cant get at it. I hate using them for anything now.
